I am looking to upgrade from my 96 RC Edition Nitro to something with more power, deck room and storage space. I am looking at a 2006 Nitro 901 CDX with a 200 Opti Max with 8.9 hours. I am having trouble getting an accurate pricing for it though. Nada only lists it with a 150hp and it doesn't have trolling motor add ons or very good electronics pricing. It says it runs $16,000+ low end and $18,000+ average retail. My main questions are how much does going from a 150 to a 200 hp raise the value of this boat? What would be a general value for this boat? It is in great condition, again with only 8.9 hours on the motor. 67 pound thrust MG trolling motor with recessed foot pedal, Lowrance GPS depth finder, flasher, Piranha depth finder up front. Trailer is also in near perfect shape. The asking price is $22,500. When I look at the pricing for similar boats there is a huge variance. What do you guys think of this boat and what is a fair price, Thanks!

It's a 2006 and only has 8hrs on the motor? That boat hasn't seen a whole lot of water. $22,500 for a 3 year old boat with very little use, if it is in immaculate condition, is a good price.

They no longer make the 901 so it should take a down turn in pricing.  :-*

When someone is selling a boat the two things that hinder the sale IMO the most is 1. they remember how much they had to pay for it and don't like to think about how much they lost when going to sell it and 2. if it is still financed they will want to get at least what they owe on it.

I had the same problem with NADA on pricing my Nitro 170 DC before I bought it.  I've been told that if the motor option pricing is not listed with the boat, you need to find the price of the 200 hp motor and find the price of the 150 hp motor.  Subtract the 150 hp motor and add the price of the 200 hp motor to get the average retail price of the boat you're looking at.  There is an area somewhere on NADA for the motor prices.  As for all of the electronics, I don't know what to tell you.  The options are so generic for the NADA appraisal that it may be difficult to figure out.  The motor option would be the most important factor on the appraised value in my opinion.  The asking price seems fair, but be sure to get it checked out by a mechanic and ask for a test run in the water.  I hope this helps.

I agree that an 06 901 is a steal at 22,500.  And with that few hours?? If you can swing it, jump on that deal.  I run an 02 901 and they are a great boat.  If you have any 901 related questions feel free to email me at .  Be happy to help.
