Title: Sunday 3-16-08 Report
Post by: complac3ncy on March 17, 2008, 09:51:14 AM
Went to walk my dog at Walnut Creek and figured i'd bring along a couple rods just incase there was a decent amount of soft water. Well sure enough when I got there I found some fishable water on the boat ramp side of the lake as well as where the little bridge and island are.
It was windy with an overcast, so I rigged one rod up with a spinnerbait and the other with a jig and threw at all the structure I could hit from the shore.
I fished the spinnerbait for about 45 minutes and nothing.
I switched to the jig for another 30 minutes or so and nothing.
By that time my dog was getting pretty bored of following me around so I went to go put him back in my truck and then decided I would go back and throw for another 10 minutes or so with my go-to bait, a weightless texas rigged senko.
Threw it for 15-20 minutes, and nothing.

A few good rains should help break the ice up faster, but it should be gone soon I imagine.

Yes it is... got out for about an hr this afternoon, 3-26, and had a little luck...but fish are still sluggish.. The lake is about 45 degrees, so they should wake up soon. :)
