You know I think you can fill out the form and pay up at your first tournament, I think that's what we did.

cool beans.

Anyone going this weekend.  Think I will on sunday just to get the boat wet this month and run some of the older gas out
Title: Re: Anglers Choice 2008
Post by: Stan on October 25, 2007, 03:36:54 PM
Yeah we showed up early turned in the forms and found out there was only one other boat at the tournament!

No, not going this weekend, getting my seat fixed won't be ready for another week or so.  Might have to put the pedestal seat down in front of the drivers console and give it a go that way if I really get the itch.

With all of the fishing that we have done in the last month or so, and no tournaments scheduled, it seems like I haven't been to the lake in a long time since it's been almost a week already.  How 'bout you guys?

Post by: calincalif50 on October 26, 2007, 12:56:08 PM
ya it does feel that way, guess I'll just have to hit it twice a week to ward off the evil spirts.  Its already been a week tomorrow and I should be on the lake

Yea, it seems like its been at least 2 weeks since I have been out and it hasnt' even been one.

I am cleaning up the "old" boat this weekend, moving next weekend (SNCO housing), and hope to pick up my boat the following week.  Will have to run it quite a bit to break it in good.  Seems like a good excuse to hit the lake...  by then maybe there will be a swimbait bite at Casitas and I can try for redemption with the bass.  Kinda sucked to finish the year like we did in the last two.  Oh well, some big fish are gonna pay up over the next 4 or 5 months!   ;D  I have to get even!  lo

Jim, e-mailed me today saying that the procedure for putting the results on-line has changed but he should have them up in the next few days for the 19 Jan tournament.

I would think he's gotten lots of e-mails.  Like I was saying last year he had them posted fairly quick.

Dean, what are you guys fishing for Feb and March?
Title: Re: Anglers Choice 2008

Cal is going to be gone some, and so am I so we are going to try to make the Southern Division @ Casitas in March.  It should be that prime slow senko and worm bite that we always catch in practice and is gone away for the tournament.

Jim is cracking me up....He sends me an e-mail this morning saying "Tom send me your e-mail address and I will send you the results"  Now I am thinking to myself well you just sent me an e-mail so maybe use the same one............... :shocking: Anyway I replied back and sent him my e-mail.  If I get the results before you guys I will post them here if anyone gets them before me please post them here.

That was a tough bite and I hope I don't see that again for quite some time.

Got a call from Jim Reyes of Anglers Choice last night.  He said the next tournament is 22 Mar at Naci............He said the rest of the schedule should be up in a few days.  He is looking at doing some at Naci, Lopez, Margarita.  He did mentioned possibly resuming the Cachuma ones if the board buys off on the trailer locking sysytem.  But that means you have to quarantine your boat for 10 days and once its locked you can only use it at Cachuma.  If you show up and the tamper seal is broken you have to quarantine the boat for 10 days..............That would pretty much keep you from fishing Gold Coast.

It would if the next AC was less than 10 days away.  I think I would do that if I could still fish the rest of the season at Cachuma with AC, but we'll have to see if they buy the idea.  If not, at least we can still have tournaments.  Cal is gone for the next one anyway.  After that I think Jim said Lopez in April?  Hope to make that one.

Is that April 6th right?  Isn't that a Sunday?  Will have to work it out, daughter has b-day party on 5 April.

Maybe, since they are limiting permits this year?  That is what he sent, but I'll have to check on that since I don't plan to fish tournaments on Sunday unless for a championship or something.  I'm just glad to have some more fishing to look forward to.  My season was beginning to look pretty boring... this way I'll stay busy and havin' fun hopefully ;D

Sounds like a good alternative to no fishing at all.  I'm cool with it, and should be able to do some PF.
