Well, since Jay decided to go with Cranberry Creek, I will go with another. He fishes out of there more than I do anyhow.
My favorite inland lake in Ohio is Clear Fork Reservoir. Grass equals big bass. A lot great features in the lake to fish as well. The lake's only marina/bait shop is:

Boating:
Alum Creek Reservoir contains 3,387 acres of water. The broad expanse of the lake south of Cheshire Road is a boater's paradise with unlimited horsepower and plenty of room for skiers. The northern portion offers a quieter scene with tree-lined shores, shale cliffs and sheltered inlets for canoeists.
Fishing and Hunting:
The narrow coves and quiet inlets offer fine catches of bass, bluegill, crappie, walleye and saugeye. The northern half of the park is best for the squirrel and deer hunter, while the southern half offers better opportunities for rabbit and other upland game. Valid Ohio hunting and fishing license are required. Note the hunting map as many areas are restricted.

Phil took mine lol.
I grew up just up the street from knox lake and the friendly folks at knox marine. I have fished this lake since i was a kid and still only live 5min from it. It is one of the best bass lakes in the state with many large fish and many great areas for them to hang out. The lake has an 18inch limit imposed. Its a 10hp restricted lake were you can have a great bass day.

That's one I haven't tried yet but it sounds good. Welcome to Ultimatebass.com, blacknight, it's always great to have another Ohioan join us here.
Well I don't live in Ohio anymore but my favorite lake would Have to be East Fork Lake.
Apple Valley is far the best -- then Buckeye
I've heard great things about Apple Valley for both bass and walleye, but unfortunately, it's private. I knew aperson who lived there, and he offered to let me fish it with him. I never had a chance to take him up on the offer.
Eric
Right now my favorite lake is Caesars creek. I am fairly new to Ohio and that is the lake I have had the most luck at. I am looking forward to getting out and fishing other lakes and rivers here in Ohio.

Hi all.
I'd have to say that Rocky Fork is one of my favorites. Aside from mother Erie. Its a good crankbait lake and one that will produce on soft plastics too.
I am really looking forward to getting out and fishing all of these lakes here. When I first got here I bought a couple of books that have all the lakes and rivers in the state. They are from sportsman's connection. They break the state into two sections, North and South. Check out there web site. Sportsmanconnection.com. They tell you what the lake has been stocked with, show boat launches, and other points of interest on the water. Not a plug for the web site. The books work for me. I picked them up at gander mountain fro $20 a piece.
~fff Well gotta say i dont have a fav lake but the prettyest lake was one i fish for the first time this year was Berlin lake it has just abought any type of cover you want you can fish deep or shallow tons of NO wake area big lake bigger than alum at full pool
My favorite lake would be Nettle Lake in Williams County as its the only lake that is close to me other than Erie.
any other lake than our ohio resevoirs
Yes the Ohio river just east of Cincy is my stomping grounds too. I like the areas around Eagle, White Oak, Straight, Bullskin and Red Oak creeks. Thes are above Meldahl dam between there and Maysville Ky. River fishin can be tough at times but a challenge.
Chip
i would have to say rocky fork,2nd ohio river marcland pool.
I am still looking for a great place to fish from shore in the Columbus area and I would love all suggestions! But I love to go to Charles Mills. Although sometimes the fishing becomes elbow to elbow and that isnt much fun.
Besides Erie, my favorites are Mosquito and Rocky Fork. Numbers and size are awesome on both lakes.
From what I've fished so far I have to say Clear Fork for sure. I love all that grass fishing and theirs some very nice bass there!
Have to be Cowan 1st and then Ceasar Creek.... ;D
I fish Stonelick Lake in Clermont County a lot. I have fished there 10 of the past 14 days. Water level is real high right now. Water is still real muddy. I have caught a few catfish and 3 small crappie so far. Water temp is still cold right now. Spawn should be starting soon.
Besides Erie, probably Salt Fork.
Rick
Since my brother and I are stuck on the shore for fishing, I don't know if we have a favorite lake - we don't catch many fish. lol
Personally, I keep hearing great things about Tycoon lake down here by Jackson, OH. Allegedly it's being groomed as a trophy bass lake. I've been there numerous times and only ever caught one fish.
I'm starting to like Piedmont as it's one of the closest to me that has smallmouth in it. Been there 3 times I believe and I've caught one smallie.
Anyone know how Tycoon Lake is shaping up?
I believe there is a lot of work being done that is suppose to be wrapping up this month. Got some travel coming up that'll have me driving through that area and I planned to stop and check it out, but if the water level has not yet been restored, I won't make a stop.
Lake Mogadore, close to where I went to college!
