but now I have to re-run the trans cable for the FF as the old one is not compatible, so now have 2 FF I'll sell off in my next garage sell.

Trolling motor update:  just used the old mount and put the new motor in the bracket.  Now just have to make adjustments, install the prop, and  mount the foot control, cable seems stiff, hope it loosens up.

Hope to get everything done, but fear the rains the next couple of days will prevent me from doing that.  So maynot get to do work on the boat until the 29th..provided by neck and shoulders will let me.  Will be seeing a surgeon this coming year for surgical fix, can't keep going on this way.

Got a gift card from Bass Pro Shops, I will buy fishing line and lures with that and I am getting a flipping stick, the Daiwa light and tough 7' 6" model.  That will be just in time for flipping up some of those spring time toads!

Merry Christmas (late) and Happy New Years to y'all!  I got a BPS gift card and a DVD recorder to burn all of the tournaments I have on VHS (over 100 and counting!)  You guys have fun this year coming, and call me if you want to do any base "club" stuff.

I used my BPS card yesterday.  Couldn't wait any longer.  Dean, have you seen the new jig boxes from Falcon?  I will get a couple of those once they are in stock.  TackleWarehouse is getting some they just aren't on the web site and I am not sure if its the bigger box that holds 36 , I think it may be the smaller one.

Yeah, I saw them in an ad, and in the Bassmaster equipment issue, but not yet in person.  I will look at them if Tacklewarehouse gets them.  Not sure if I want to make the change to the 3700 size box like the Falcon boxes are?  They are sweet though!

Have you seen the swimbait boxes for those 8" or bigger swimbaits, finally a way to keep them from flopping over on their tails

Dean, Bob Dixon put a post on westernbass under the heading looking for a partner.  He also mentions Gold Coast, you may want to give him a call even if  you only want to fish half of the schedule.

Still haven't installed my new depth finder, I'm gonna wait until the kids go back to school so I can get it done in one day.  I did download the emulator from the lowrance web site, very cool, it's like having the unit on your computer so you can learn how to use it at home and not on the lake.

Doing that tonight, new FF installed today, just have to hook up the electrics.  Had to go buy some connectors.  Trolling motor installed, working on the on-board charger tomorrow

As soon as my kids get back to school on 3 Jan 07.  Or maybe a day or two after that 'cause I still need to get that Lowrance on the boat.

Well, I put up a pegboard after reading my last issue of BASS, I have to say it seems like it will definetely help me keep track of all my plastics and let me know when I need to re-order.  Well most of my plastics, my senko bags take up almost half the board.................. lo

Don't worry about all them Senkos, hopefully they will get good use this spring.  Won't be installing the new Lowrance until Friday it looks like.  I layed it all out and I neede to order a RAM-mount for it.  If it isn't mounted on a gimbal then it would sit crooked next to the console.  Tom where is your antanae mounted?  I still haven't figured out where I want that puppy.

My antena is under the console.

Well, I finally got the Lowrance installed.  It took me longer to get up the nerve to drill holes in my boat than it did to get it installed.  Will have to get out to the lake soon and check it out.  Probably Lopez to do a little pre-fishing.  Cal when are you going up there to pre-fish?
