On the water at 8 and on the trailer at 3 today and finally caught a few fish although no big fish. We had 3/4" of rain yesterday and last night with the passage of a cold front after several weeks of warming weather but water temps was still in the upper 60's everywhere which is a 15 degree rise from 2 weeks ago. Air temps upper 50's to mid 60's today compared to near 80 for the last week, tide was blown out with N winds 15-20 most of the day and water visibility was 1-2' in the areas I fished. First bite of the day, 3rd cast, was a 5 lb. red fish on a Chatter bait EVO and the only bite I had on it. Fished several spots with a few bites but no fish until I hit a dead end canal with 2-3' of water and caught 10 with 3 small keepers on a watermelon/red UV speed worm. Moved around some and caught a few more keepers on the worm before finishing the day with a Snagless Sally and had the 2 best fish of the day on it. Total of 8 keepers on the day and a dozen or more shorts. Supposed to warm up for a few days before another cold front the middle of next week gets us back to low 30's for several nights, just typical early spring weather.
