It was time to upgrade to my trolling motor system. The MK Fortrex served me well, but I was in need of better technology, and the Power Pole Move caught my eye.
I'm looking forward to this installation. Stay tuned for my first impressions. ;)
WTG Lou! I'm sure a big expense. What features does this one have?

Thanks George. This TM has: anchor mode, active heading, wireless foot pedal, hybrid remote etc. It has all the latest and greatest.
Anchor mode should be a big help on those windy days!

Here some of the noticeable highlights of my new Power Pole Move.

Look at how small the power head is on this trolling motor. Its as big as my fist! :o lo

I now have complete control of my boat with this hybrid hand held remote.

This slightly smaller, cable free foot pedal is almost completely flush with the deck.
Lastly, the phone application, that comes along with this TM is great! I have complete control of the TM via my phone if I choose, or if I want to adjust settings, I can do it all through the phone! Crazy!
Very nice! Features and functions all match the Ultrex, how does it compare to the Ultrex pricewise? Where is it manufactured?

Thank you. Functions compare to many of the modern brushless TM's out there today. Unfortunately however, PP MOVE is the most expensive TM out on the market today. :'( :'( Why did have to REALLY like this one,,, lol!
The Move is manufactured in Tampa, FL. My PP MOVE was manufactured this month actually.
All updates have been done, water test today!! v~
I'm liking it already. ;D

Let's just say I'm in love. ~heart
The Power Pole Move is one heckuva a trolling motor!
The water test went flawlessly. Fished and played with the TM for 5 hrs. Zero issues!!
Going from my Fortrex to the Ultrex was worth the money just for the spot lock for me. Game changer since I fish a lot of offshore grass. If I was in the market today, I'd look long and hard at the Move! Good luck!

Thank you sir. The MOVE is a remarkable piece of equipment.

Thanks for watching!
Here's the video, enjoy!

I'm spending the week becoming familiar with the PP MOVE. Today's outing was pretty cool. Unfortunately the fishing wasn't that good, but I put myself through several scenarios to test the TM capabilities. The spot lock is top notch! The area I fished is known for having several bridges. A bridge can be productive area to concentrate on. I positioned the boat at the mouth of the bridge, hit spot lock, and I was able to focus 100% of my attention working the points and ledges. Where before I could only focus about 75-80% of my attention to fishing and the difference was spent on worrying about boat control and positioning.
Now when I have client(s) or a guest, I can put them on the bow of the boat, and I can hang in the back or sit. Priceless!! ~c~
Sounds excellent for your needs! WTG Captain!
Update. I have been out several times with my new MOVE ZR, and I'm happy to report, I'm loving it!
I was asked how was the battery life of my lithium's now that I have a ZR, and the battery life is fantastic.
I fished for 8 hrs the other day, and the majority of the trip was a lot of TM use, and spot locking. When I got home, I checked the BMS app, and the batteries were at 90%! :o
I'm glad you're enjoying the new trolling motor! So how does the cordless foot pedal work? I'm guessing it has batteries that you charge and it "talks" to the head unit via Bluetooth? I'm running an Ultrex and would love to ditch the cables, but it will be a while before I upgrade to anything else. These trolling motors are so dang expensive.

The Foot pedal is not cordless. It does have its own power source cable, but no steering cable. The pedal moves the TM via blue tooth if that makes sense. I discussed and showcased the foot pedal on my video. And, I agree. Today's TM's are very expensive!
I was at work and couldn't watch it yesterday, but I just watched it now. I like how small the head unit is and how quiet it is. Makes my Ultrex sound like a lawnmower by comparison. :shocking:
Excellent job on the video and the Move looks great. Way above my needs, but should be right on for your guide business. Good luck with it my friend, and thanks for the heads up on your mobile tech. Your during a great job on the vids, I always enjoy them. ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
