I eased my kayak into the cool water at dark. I have to lift it to drop the wheels out the scupper holes. not easy, since I have a trolling motor poking me in the chest when I do it so now I have come at it awkwardly (from the side somewhat). as soon as I heard the wheels drop out and hit the water, I went horizontal. yup. I slipped on the mossy boat ramp and landed flat on my back, and my kayak landed exactly on my nuts. thankfully, the kayak is wide, so it wasn't a concentrated load on my jewels. I laid there waist deep in the water doing inventory of my body. no pain..good. I climbed out, and did some yoga stretches right there to limber up my back. I went to into the water, hit the throttle and the kayak immediately went hard right. my chest had twisted my motor to the side when we hit. I went back to the ramp to straighten everything out. as I ease to the ramp, I see my new sunglasses!! they had shot off my head and landed lens down. I pick them up and see the scratched lens. BOOOO!!! bOOOOO!
I went fishing anyways. no sense crying over spilled milk. I race to a spot, a boat sees me coming and guns it to my spot. then they proceed to call me names and talk about me loudly passive aggressive like the entire time. I voice my opinion back without any name calling or cussing. the damage is done. I am sour. then...Tick tick tick. I catch a bass right in front of them. hahha..
I fish on. thankfully they don't buzz me or roast me with a baat. next time, I keep my mouth slammed shut.
I then realize I forgot to pack any water!!! I hydrate with the apples I packed, but i got thirsty as heck.
it was a dink-fest, but got lots of them. still so much fun, and I focus on a happy life. I need to rethink my kayak launch. I am not getting any younger and picking that thing up with the motor is unwise.
what a day. I emailed my sunglasses company to see about buying replacement lenses. what A DAY. hahahah what a day.
that fiberglass boat is calling your name
glad you are good to go!
Wow that is a trip you will never forget. Thank nothing seriously hurt. We have one ramp famous for being slippery. I stopped using it after a wipe out. Thanks for the report. ~c~
Solar Bat Sunglasses has a crazy good BOGO sale right now (link in the description). Oops. Wrong media!
Been there and done that. Crash landings are rapidly becoming an expected thing it seems.

I salute you for pressing on! Good luck with the sunglasses.
