Title: Johnson Trim Gauge
Post by: Marky1 on August 17, 2024, 12:09:46 PM
Installed a Johnson trim gauge last season, there never was in boat . Very strange to figure this out, no matter how I adjusted the trim at the motor , (needle on gauge ) would be in the UP position.Should I just remove the gauge and put the black cap that was there before in the opening?

Sounds like the wire from the sensor is shorted out.

That "wire " would be at the transom / motor ?

It runs from the trim sensor up to the dash. I'm not sure at this moment, but I believe mine is black.

Seems to be working "better" after adjusting the screws a bit .
