Congratulations on paying off the boat. Thank goodness our sons are grown up and married, etc. Can't even imagine the premiums for teens nowadays.

Thanks Lou, sorry about that, but with this heat I'm not surprised! It's brutal!
I'm going to get out before the stormy week ahead. Trying out a new lake! It's crystal clear. I love fishing clear water. Finesse gear is ready. I can't wait!
I had to postpone my peacock trip with Capt. Lou due to the weather system moving through. Dang it!

Bummer, right? Fortunately, we were able to reschedule. ;)
Is this the water event that will kick off our high water season?
Just when our water levels were becoming optimal, wham! A two day torrential storm kicks things off!
Yes it is, but right now look for current points. Running water will position feeding bass. My best days this month have been right after a few heavy rains. ~rain

The good news is, there's plenty of locations that has current points! :-*
Yep,, in just 2 days our water conditions have changed. Crazy volume of rain!
Since I told you about our water levels in Weston, another 2" of steady rain. Just ordered three cubits of wood now building a boat! ~xyz

This is part of my backyard as I type this. It's a pond!
~goof ~tumble
Boy, oh boy, it sure is quiet around here. :(
On a brighter note, I'm going fishing in Glades today for the first time since the storms. I have new guest joining me, you guys have heard his name mentioned before. We will be meeting up for the first time to fish. Stay tuned. ;)

I think all of us are lucky we own boats and 4x4s.

Best of luck, water levels should be a little better now for ya.

Going to check out a new lake in the kayak. It looks like an old pit that was used for fill for the nearby highway. I think it's very clear. I found it while visiting a friend. Can't wait!
I think the only good news in regards to all the current going on in the glades. You won't be catching that many oscars. Lol!!
Let the adventure begin! Flat's and his BIL are confirmed and we are go. Hopefully the conditions haven't changed too much from 6 days ago. ~sweat ~gf
Going shiner fishing tomorrow at Headwaters. It's for a writing assignment that I had for one of the magazines. I'm going with Capt. Dan Hand from the Beyond Headwaters YouTube channel. He's a great guy so it should be fun. Of course I'll be bringing along a few rods with artificials!
Good luck, can't wait to hear how you do. Always a shot at a DD!

Want to say quick thank you to those of you who have supported my YT channel. There is still a lot of work to be done, but it's cool to see people sticking around. ;)
One of those mornings. Headed out to the Marshlands early this morning. 27 south bound was closed due to a truck wreck. Get to the Marshlands, closed for construction today and next Fri. Guess where I'm sitting now?

Like I said, one of those mornings. Smh
I passed by the scene. Tragically, it was a fatality accident. Although my fishing day didn't happen, it was a minor inconvenience compared to the person(s) who will not get to see tomorrow.
Maybe you need to find a little backup place for the Bass Hunter? I think you've been shut out of your honey hole a time or two.

True, a plan b site would be helpful.
