Let's get together! Our last gathering was fun and relaxing.

Before I choose the date, I want to see who's in!! It will be a Saturday in April. Fishing should be off the charts!

I'd love to go but I'm committed to a hockey tournament in Tampa April 11-14. The will be headed home by the 27th.

I just saw the thread, here I am retired and way to busy. I can do a half a day on he 27th. Go Marlins, Go Fish.

Looking over the responses, it looks like the Saturday, April 27th, works best. Now that we have a date, I will begin to reaching out to our local guys who may have not seen this thread yet.  ;)

Hopefully more will chime in, and in the meantime, sound off if you will be attending as boater or non-boater. This way, we can organize accordingly.

The fishing times are not in stone, yet. I think 0730-1230 will be more ideal, with a 1pm lunch. That way we can spend more time together on land catching up. I think the group needs this.  ~beer~

Ok folks, we are just shy of being 2 weeks out from our get-together date. Is there anyone else considering attending that's a non boater?

All I hear is crickets on here.

We are keeping this get together very casual and simple. Fishing time 7am-12pm.  Lunch 12:45ish. This will give everyone plenty of time to load their boats.

 Byol (bring your own lunch) type of deal. We will gather and hang out where we did last time under the big trees near the restrooms.

Captain's, if you don't have my cell number by this point, I definitely do not have yours.

Send me a PM with your number. This way, all the boats can stay in  communication with each other in the event of an emergency.

I'm good to go Lou, you have my #. Fished Holiday yesterday, 7a-noon. NNW winds low then picked up mid morn. After over 70+ Mayans and a few Pea's made a move and boated about 40 bass. No big ones but consistent. Mostly on wacky's, top waters didn't produce much. May do another "scoutin trip "tomorrow.

Interesting. Have they pretty much expanded throughout all the everglades at this point?

Pea's are all over the place! But some systems have more concentrations of pea's than others.

Sorry to say I have too many obligations this week to pull this off. Would sure love to have made it. I hope everyone gets a boat load.

I'm posting my mini report over here for you guys.

Fished the outer fringes of Holiday Park this morning from 7am to 11:30am. Landed 54 bass and peacocks. Few bass over 3 lbs.

I will share the area and the baits I used on Saturday, for those of you who arrive early. ;)

Here's the not so good news. Be ready to encounter a TON of boat traffic from out of town folks.

Some of these boaters do not know about fishing and boating etiquette. So be aware.

These folks are mainly chasing for oscars and Mayans. They they travel in large groups. Do not be surprised if you encounter caravans of 3 to 5 boats at a time.

They basically drove me off the water today. I crossed paths with Jhab. He can attest to the boat traffic. (Great seeing you today, Jim!) The fishing was great, but boat after boat, after boat, started getting really annoying.

I will be fishing a different area on Saturday, so I will not be concerned about the boats.

Just wanted to let you guys know what you're in for.
