Title: Sawgrass 01-31-24
Post by: JHAB on February 01, 2024, 09:05:55 AM
Conditions-
Water Temps:61-63
Outside temps: Low 50's to 70
Skies: Sunny
Wind: NNW 5-20 (started calm and by 11am it was "on the howl")
Current: Hardly any, pumps off
Water Clarity: Clear
Water Level: Favorably low (2.5-3')
Fishing time: 07am - 1pm

Had to try it again, buddy Ralph and I arrived at a chilly ramp at 06:30. Ran north to the pumphouse and started drifting south. Started out slow and we tried all sorts of lures picking few up here and there. Fortunately, around 9 the temp warmed up with sun out and fish started cooperating. Wound up with (32 and 11, not saying who caught more!), all LM with several in 3-4lb range. Most of fish on raps but few of bigger on Spooks (green/white) and swim jigs(blue). Fished almost the whole way back to ramp and called it a day! FWC was at ramp again to assist with loading boat! LOL Friday looks to be a good weather day!              Safe Fishin!
Jim
