Title: Everglades (7/1/23)
Post by: Capt. BassinLou on July 01, 2023, 11:44:34 AM
Hadn't fished once all week, so I decided to take the boat out this morning. Arrived at a muggy ramp at 0630.

Did not feel like running today, so I basically launched, idled a bit, put the trolling motor down, and just started fishing.

There was a lot of surface activity, but I couldn't get anything to bite. I doubled down on topwater and began to get hits.

Nothing of any size, but considering I haven't wet a line all week, I was having fun.

I noticed peacock were in the area, so I focused on them for a spell.

As the morning progressed, the bite slowed down. I fished deep for a spell, but not much activity either.

By 11am, I was loading up and heading home. Had fun. Boated 10. But man, it was hot and humid.

Thanks for reading.
