Did Bossier Parish just pay $71,000 to have a company prepare a bid? This state is so corrupt. What's more? There are 20 projects in last months meeting minutes and the same Civil Design Group is named in every one of them :-\
BE IT RESOLVED by the Bossier Parish Police Jury in regular and legal session on this 16th day of March, 2022, that it does hereby accept the proposal of Civil Design Group, LLC, in the amount of $70,685.00 for professional design services and preparation of bid package for construction of a new public boat launch facility at Parish Camp.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish Administrator or Parish President is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents in connection with said proposal.
The resolution was offered by Mr. Brotherton, seconded by Mr. Plummer. Upon unanimous vote, it was duly adopted on this 16th day of March, 2022.
But the GOOD NEWS, looks like we are getting a new boat ramp :-*

The "bid package" is the design, engineering, plans and specifications required to construct the project. That is what the fee is for, then inspecting construction while it is being built.
So this is the design the parish will approved and the companies will use to make their bids with?
