The forecast is calling for 50's and 60's next week! Time to start keeping an eye out for soft water here in PA. Lets get a thread going of a soft water report at your local waters.
Two spring fed ponds have opened up. Pics of moraine show it is melting fast but no big holes yet.
I put the ice fishing gear away for the winter, let it all melt! I imagine some western PA lakes we could be on within 2.5-3weeks

I am hoping you are right as I see the rivers being a muddy mess for a while.
Most of the ponds I've driven past lately have been open. I may try to sneak out this weekend and drag a jig around.

I noticed that all of the ones on my way to work are open. You headed my way?

If I end up in your neck of the woods, I will definitely call you. ~cf
I stopped at moraine yesterday over by mcdaniels and the entire lake was still locked up entirely. I may also drag a jig/ned rig on some local ponds in the butler area
Was at moraine yesterday and still mostly frozen. There was a guy out by the church ice fishing :shocking:
The ice is starting to melt fast around the 528 bridge. I imagine we still have a week to go
I was out at the Big O on Saturday and the first 25-30' from the bank was soft, but the rest was still frozen. The upper end where the water flows in was open though. Should be open by the end of this week I'd guess. The ice that was still there was pretty soft.
