What's everyone's favorite Topwater lure for peacocks? A few years ago, I caught them really good on a silver Rapala Skitterwalk fished with a fast walk the dog type retrieve.

- Torpedo style prop baits in varying sizes.
- Spooks in different sizes
- Floating Jerkbaits in different sizes
Maybe you guys need to take up fly fishing for them! :-*
I've never fished anywhere that they existed, but I would bet they'll slam a big fly rod popper! ;D
I used to supply an outfitter with flies & jigs for Peacocks, and he used the big Wood Chopper type prop lures for them, and big saltwater type poppers, but that was in S. American, where the Peacocks grow huge. ~gf
For reference, the Red Fin lure in the center is 7" long. :)

Actually....people do fly fish for them locally. Looks like fun, but will stick with what I know. ;)
A #9 or #11 rapala jerk bait in black and silver, or gold and silver!
I'm with G. Jerkbaits.
But I will give you a secret bait, as I'm further north now and can't fish them....
Rooster tail in clown colors.
