Title: 2021 05 20 Chickamauga TN River
Post by: coldfront on May 20, 2021, 07:29:25 PM
tried for 3 days mid-week as a 'working vacation'.  Got some water time in Tuesday and Thursday.  Had to work Wednesday.  Something about a paycheck.
Today's tale of the tape:Wind:  WNW at 8mph gusts to 12mphTemp at 6AM:  63°F; temp at 6PM:  82°FWater temp morning:  71°F;  water temp at 6PM:  75°FWater clarity:  1-2 foot visibility, slight stainClear skies, full sun early.  partly cloudy late.

Good day today numbers-wise.  Most fish in 2-3 pound class range (17-18 inches) with a few smaller.  Did go '1 for 2' on kickers.  Got one 20+ in the boat; the other one got off after she tail-walked all around the boat.  ouch.

fish came anywhere from 1 foot to 6 foot deep.  t-rigged and weightless soft plastics.  tried jigs with no takers.

here's what worked today(https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ACtC-3e4-qgalBeSDHMGVYqYngID4TmuH2uMpAqDfDMPF-yHDxwSSTVlT0eSiGnfDhAZ56ojK3tvi9_AgOMqTCOw-LZzJ9ptd9Tv0dBC7NadmJUsqcR0FVqX9wD4GkHXsx9hvuEPUXqIHI1ARG0ZKKdzh0X5=w823-h966-no?authuser=0)

best of the day (by far).  20.75 inches on the bumpboard.

I love acrobatic bass when I'm fun fishing but when I need them on the board it puts butterflies in my stomach while it's happening  :surrender:
