The bass in Andong have definitely started to spawn and in large numbers it seems.
On the previous two weekends of April, I caught two huge (fat) bass that were sat on an old road bed in pre-spawn, but this past weekend, during the first tournament of the year, the bass were right up thick in the middle of flooded trees spawning at the bases of the tree trunks.
Only a few anglers were able to get their heavy Texas rigs into the right spots, I was unable ???
Water temps were 57 to 59f
Water levels are about 6 foot below full pool and still rising
Water in the coves and pockets is a little more stained than it's usual crystal clear due to the water run-off from recent rains, but the main lake is still pretty clear
Weather was mostly sunny with a little cloudy, but the wind was rippin' both days
Thanks for the report BK. It's hard to follow those deep into the brush on a rising lake.
