Title: 4 hours
Post by: zippyduck on April 24, 2020, 08:03:50 PM
It took 4 hours to install 2 Lowrance Hook 7x tripleshot. And they both work and shouldn't fly out of the boat.
I do not like the stupid symbols. They had me stumped for about a half hour.

The hieroglyphics in today's instruction manuals make me crazy.  It seems that words are optional these days.

If you don't have pieces leftover, you didn't put it back together right...

Really clean looking install!  ~c~

I think they chose to use symbols instead of printing a book in 15 different languages.

Thanks guys.

I was already to put it on a stand when I glanced at that area. I put the unit in the area and was like this will be easier and look cleaner. The hole behind it was cut slightly too big but I was able to angle the screws enough to solidly hold it in place.
The cockpit one is on a stand as there is no room for it in the dash. Too many gauges in the way.

Good job on the upgrade and install.  When I upgraded my electronics in my Stratos last year I put both of them on RAM Mounts.

When I took my old in-dash units out I cut out all that excess wiring that was back there also.  You can now actually see and get your hands back in there both on the bow and dash.
