Damon and I got the boat on the river again.
Weather was really nice with a very warm day following several cooler days and nights and some heavy rain over the weekend. Due to this, the water temps are still around the same as the last two weeks.
Despite the recent rains, the river is clearer than I have ever seen it, around 5~6 foot visibility in most areas.
We fished from 11:00am ~ 4:30pm.
We caught at least 40 bass between us, but all mostly in the 12" ~ 13" size range.
Damon caught all of his on a simple 1/8oz jighead with a 6" cut-tail worm in green pumpkin silver flake.
I caught most of mine on a free-rigged baby brush hog in red bug color and an 5" underspin.
I did get a couple of decent bass though, an almost 17"bass on a dropshot with a thin 7" straight tail worm in green pumpkin silver flake and a 20" bass on a 3/8oz all chartreuse spinnerbait.
Most bass were up shallow in around 3 foot of water, and the better bass showing signs of moving up shallower.
Air temps = 55~65*
Water temps = 57~59*
Sunny/hazy skies with gusty winds from all directions.
