Good going HTTR ~c~
Awesome catching bass is better than not catching bass. (https://i.imgur.com/GeUqFG9.gif)
I don't use spinning tackle much anymore but I did bust out the same Shimano R2000 reel, I see you have, for today. That is a awesome reel for $10 it has been a great reel. (https://i.imgur.com/vO2r22E.gif) I tried the Ned rig with 0 results my water is just too muddy for a bait that does nothing.
I caught a few today too. See report here (http://www.ultimatebass.com/bass-fishing-forum/index.php?topic=140910.0).
Nice ones!

Thanks for sharing HTTR. Wtg!!
Nice fish! And I agree, that R2000 is about the best value in a reel I've ever seen. Simply can't beat such a reliable reel that costs so little. I think I paid $15 for Connie's, came as a combo.
Glad you got out and caught some fish. I'm still looking to make my first trip out this year. You need toget yourself a little measuring device that fits in your tackle bag and is lite weight. ;D

I don't know much about these reels I bought it as a cheap combo second hand a few years ago and I haven't put it down since. I think I will be changing my line soon though as I've been learning more lately the braided I have on it is just too heavy.

I have 20lb Powerpro on mine and it seems to work well. :)

I look at the line diameter and try to match the braid diameter to the recommended mono diameters. That means 10#-20# on my reels but I put 30# on my TX4000, which seems to be the R2000's fat uncle. Same sort of bare bones basic reel, but a little older and beefier, discontinued I believe.
Good catch on that tackle.
