Was an active morning. Them peacock bass were aggressive. Had a ton of takers, but they were kinda swiping at it. The ones I landed were hooked in the side. The others were too, but shook off.

Thanks for the report LMG and looks like you had a fun morning with them Peacocks.
LMG what do you think of that Halo rod now that you have some time " behind the wheel" with it? I remember your post when you purchased it. I have 2- 7' 3" heavy and 2- 7' 6" X-Heavy rods from them and I have to say that they certainly are not the most sensitive rods I own but I use them for pitching to some pretty heavy stuff and I am very pleased with the rods for that application plus I bought them super cheap so that also is a plus. I think they are a good rod for that type of fishing. Was just wondering what you think of them for the price.
I like it. It balances well for my spook fishing. Has a lot of guides on it which is nice. No, its not very sensitive, but I dont need it to be for spooks

Something I forgot to add about the morning that was kinda funny. I decided to switch to a Spook JR with a bit bigger profile and hooks in hopes to get a better hookup. Nope. They wouldnt even look at it. Same color and all, just a tad bigger. Thought that was quite interesting. I think Im just gonna change hooks on the Puppy, and see if that helps. I noticed the newer ones dont come with the same hooks as the older ones I have still.
