Bad news: it was this guy. He was huge though, longer than my 24" bump board. Screamed out drag, had to slam it down. Lots of fun catching him with my boy, he kept calling it a shark LOL My dreams of a Florida Trophy catch will have to be fulfilled another day(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170728/1671870bc3b47d5e450e757d295dbc89.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170728/56a01237f18bdffde0d3c0998f680e73.jpg)

Thanks Lou. I know I kvetch about catching them, coz you are waiting to see that beautiful LMB and then you see the mudder's ugly mug, but truth is, they fight pretty good and its fun catching them ,especially when you haven't been catching much else.
Grunnel or choupique (as they are called here) are a blast to catch. Ever time I see one I will throw something with non-treble hooks at it just for the pull. They grow well here. 6-8 pounds with 15-18 being a decent one. What's funny is I've never seen a small one, it's like they are born 6 pounds :surrender:
That's true, Mike, I can't recall ever catching one less than 20".
