Public Notice: Hearing on Proposed Marine Aquaculture Licenses

DURHAM, NH -- The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing on four proposed marine aquaculture license applications on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, two at 9:00 a.m., and two at 9:30 a.m. The hearing will be held at NH Fish and Game Department, Region 3 Office, 225 Main St., Durham, NH, 03824. The public is welcome to attend and to offer comments on the proposed aquaculture plans.
At 9:00 a.m., Jay Baker of Fat Dog Shellfish will be heard on his two applications to culture oysters, northern quahogs, soft shelled clams, and razor clams in a bottom culture operation on two separate 4.5-acre sites in the shallows along Durham shoreline, in Little Bay.
At 9:30 a.m., Russell Hilliard and Conor Walsh of Half Tide Rock Oyster Farm will be heard on their applications to culture oysters, soft shell clams, and hard shell clams in a bottom culture operation on a 1.3-acre site in Browns River and a 1.1-acre site in Hampton River.
