i changed one of my battery today and i have nothing now, the battery is new and i connected the wires back except the aerator i turn the main switch on no dash movement. no bilge pump and that was working last week no courtesy light or dash light. when i turn the key start the motor nothing the tilt on the motor works is there fuses some where or what can i do to fix it. when i hocked up the aerator i did touch the one of the wires to the positive side and it sparked and it came on without the switch on and the other wire not hooked up. when i switched the wire to the other side nothing,not even the other wire connected and switch on. what do i need to do
Sounds like a fuse got blown to me. Next time d/c the battery and change the pump then hook up the battery.
Not sure where your fuses are but most boats they are under or near the driver console. Engines have fuses as well. May want to check your inline fuse on the engine if it isn't cranking.
Also triple check the wires didn't get burnt up or damaged.
Sorry man, electrical probelms are a bear and the best thing to do is label, take your time and check thing one at a time.
I had a Cajun long ago and the fuses were under the dash
i don't see a fuse block under the dash like you would see on a car. are they all like inline fuse holders? if it is the switch on the dash could i use a jumper to by pass the switch to see if anything comes on?
Is there a right side Rod locker or compartment ? My fuse block is in the right locker in front of the console.

The fuse box are different on different boats. Normally they are just a little panel with your normal plug in fuses like a car.
The inline fuses are harder to see sometimes. They can be little fat parts inline that typically unscrew to reveal a fuse.
I personally would check the fuse panel first then work towards the batteries. Unfortunately older boats sometimes have repairs done by well intended folks who make mistakes..
I had a wire in my old boat that went to the light. In 3 feet the wire changed color and size... several times.

i changed the lug on the positive side cable,then took my ohm meter to check power to the starter and i do have power to there. then i checked power to the switches and troll 1 i have power troll 2 i have power, boat motor switch i have no power before or after the switch. i did check a fuse that is next to the starter and it seemed have current through it. i am thinking that there is somewhere at the motor that the problem is, could there be any other fuse there that i can check?
