Title: Webster Lake
Post by: blkfalc4 on October 05, 2015, 10:28:58 PM
Not a report but didn't know where else to ask for :help:

Curious as to Webster Town Launch, have read they don't charge after Labor Day. Is that true?

If they do, how's the state launch and will it accommodate my 19 footer alright? Parking?
It kinda looks iffy.

Thanks
Mike

This is the correct spot to ask this ~c~ Hopefully someone "in the know" will see it shortly.

If it's a state launch, you might be able to call Wildlife and fisheries for the county. Or if it's Corp run they can help.

I don't have a current answer for you but wanted to respond because I used to fish Webster about 30 years ago.  Even then "outsiders" could only use the ramp before memorial day and after labor day.  At that time they did not have a fee structure.   The state ramp was always very bad and seemed to have a drop off when you backed the trailer down the wheels would drop into the muck and you had a hard time pulling out.  Clearly needed 4wd to pull that off.  Always enjoyed the lake and caught many a smallmouth there.  Hopefully someone from the area will come along with an answer that is current and not my 30 year ago memory.

I haven't fished Webster in about 10 years myself  so I am afraid I can't offer much help on the ramp situation. Your best bet is to call Masswildlife at (508) 389-6300 or contact the Webster Lake Association at Email: (sorry I don't have a phone number for them but you could probably just Google it.)
