New to this year, we came to the agreement of forming this thread. This thread allows FBR participants to openly discuss anything in regards to the competition. Techniques, Reports, Strategies, Tips, Help, or just simple fishing bull ^-^. This is the thread for that.
The FBR thread will be used for posting pics and standings as well as the participants weekly numbers. Light responses will be permitted. I will police this thread to make sure that all communication is kept at a minimum and moved over to this thread. PoPo
Enjoy the thread gang. All I ask is to please be civil. ;)
Let me start out the year with a "Lou you suck" lmao jk man glad to see this up and running!!!

That would be awesome!!
Hey Lou. If it is not to much trouble and it might be, could you do a post showing all of last years Monthly Winners and their numbers for that month. Might be interesting to look back over time and see how the years change for the same month.
Maybe start a separate thread just for FBR 2014 Monthly Winners list. Maybe show the Classic Winner and AOY too. See how it changes or stays the same over the years.
Just a thought and I figured I'd throw it out there.
Too bad you couldn't attach an Excel sheet to a post with all this information, that would make life a lot easier for you. This way all the information can be easily accessed by everybody to see what they want to, I know this has to be a lot of work keeping it all straight.

That shouldn't be that hard to do. I did something similar a few weeks ago.

I do agree with Pferox though, if you posted an excel sheet with several tabs with all the different info then everyone could look at it instead of asking you for their numbers all the time.
I keep track of my numbers but it would be cool to also see everyone elses stuff too.
I think that would make it easier for you and everyone.
I will look into it
As for the Excel sheet idea, Lou is doing it so whatever he wants to do is fine with me.
But consider this:
Lou already posts a Weekly Standing of everyone's totals so the sheet wouldn't add anything there.
We are "supposed" to take care of our own numbers, but since the BS'ing has been moved to this new thread it really shouldn't be that hard for anyone to look back at their last post to see what it said. That is what I do anyway when I'm adding a new fish, I just go back to the last post I made with my numbers and copy & paste it into the reply box then remove the cull number, add the new number, total then post.
The new BS Thread was started just for that reason to allow you to see where you were without having to look through 10 pages to find what you had before.
Two quick things
1. The final numbers are up for March and Final AOY points
2. As far as excel stuff goes. That is no where in my wheelhouse. lo My wife designed a spread sheet for me in regards to this competition. I plug in numbers in some boxes. press a few tabs. And presto. More than that can't help you. ~roflmao Love ya... but its not happening.
Here is what I will do however. I will post the weekly numbers as I usually do and I will create a an achievement thread that will remain locked. You can all look at, study it, what ever floats your v~. All of last years monthly winners will be on there. As well as the Classics winner and AOY stuff.
I have been really...really nice with you guys in regards to your numbers. Please track them. The BR thread is strictly for that. Yes. right now there is alot of chatting going on because its open enrollment . I expect that. However, once this thing gets going, that page will strictly be for numbers. Go to tapatalk and look up your stuff if your on the water. Take advantage of the notebook feature on your smart phones, and plug your numbers in that. I am not being a ^-^, just delegating a little bit more responsibility over to you guys. If you lose your numbers, of course I will happy to provide them to you. ;) Good luck this month.

Great job on that Achievements Thread! I guess I'm just into history but if this deal lasts for several years, which I hope it does, it will be cool to look back over the years and see the changes or lack thereof.

First fish of the year is a senko fish... ugh... I'm gonna be sick lol
Welcome to the competition Jim!!! It's early and I'm about to head your way. Hopefully we can put some nice numbers up today!
I'm giving you guys a weeks head start. Leaving in the morning for Lewis Smith Lake in Al for a long weekend. Hopefully I'll be posting some 60" stripers.
If I catch largemouth in AL do they count in this competition? I can't find the rule thread and could not remember if they had to be caught in FL.

FD, as far as the rules, they have been deleted for some reason or another. Not a problem, I will submit a new thread with revised rules. Fortunately, you have been with us for a while, and you know the rules pretty much. As far as your vacation fish go. Enjoy your vacation. All competition fish will be from FL. The only exception to this, is for an active military participant that is a fellow Floridian.

God help us ~sweat.
Hey man whatever works for you is the way to go. Lou loves his Frogs, I used to use almost nothing but Speedworms, West was into Spinnerbaits, everyone has/had a favorite. Thing about this contest is it has made me stretch beyond my comfort zone and learn new things if I want to stay competitive in the Game.
Now I still use Speedworms, why because in certain conditions nothing works better! But I now also use Flipping Jigs, Swimming Jigs, Swimbaits, and other things that I used to never use and didn't even like.
This contest has truly made me a better Bass Fisherman and for that I am thankful.
Same here deadeye. Ive learned so much. Before i would only exclusively use senkos because its the only thing i had confidence in but since i started this competition ive caught fish an the bama rig. Cranks. Swim Jigs. Flip jigs. My next thing is to learn flippin into heavy cover. Punching. Now i fish from the bank and have found little to no places to use this technique. I normally have to make a regular cast i to those areas.
I still like the senko because without a doubt it works on every body of water i fish. So it has more value to me than other baits that i cant use on every body of water. Thats really what it boils down to lol.
The March thread is locked but I just wanted to point out the the top 8 were only separated by 9 inches. Those bags would have put you in the money in most any tournament including the Elites. Now I know it was over a month and we are in Fl, but never the less, that was some damn nice fishing gentlemen.

If this is a double post i apologize. I created a revised rules thread since the previous one was deleted. Pls look them over, and let me know if i messed up anywhere and any corrections need to be made. I am stepping out and returning a little later. Thanks.
Ok..... ~sweat..... lo
Because of Rick.... Just kidding bud. Great suggestion. I have included in the Rule thread, a second post with the description and explanation of the AOY. Please understand for anyone contemplating or currently in our club, you do not have to make a year long commitment. This is just for those that choose to compete for the long term. If you desire to compete just for a month just to see how you do amongst other anglers that is perfectly fine to.

Just for you WEST! lol ~shade
From 5pm to about 7:30, not one bite. I tried the Senko in different colors, I tried a swimming craw, and a trick worm. Nothing.
As I was ready to call it quits I decided to wacky rig one of my black and blue senkos. Of course I was to lazy to put a smaller hook on there so I just used the 3/0 I had on. First cast, wack! Approximately 10 inches or so.
Of course on the next cast I get hung up and lose my hook and senko. O well.
Tried the owner weedless wacky hook and put it on another black and blue senko to catch my second fish. This was about 12 inches.
My review on the owner weedless wacky hooks: They are great, no hang ups on rocks or grass. Though I was not fishing at my usual rock ledge lake. So it still needs further testing. For now its a 5 out of 5 stars. Also the hook set on this fish was 10 x better than the ones with the metal protector.

Rick I have used Senko's either Texas Rig or Wacky Rig. I do think that the Wacky does seem to catch more fish. I think it is the dual action of the worm as it falls that does it.
West, Just saw your fish, nice one!
So what makes the owner weedless, Rick?

REALLY? They have those little rubber bands for kid's pony tails, you double them over through the eye, or tie them on to the line just above the hook if the band won't fit through the eye, then you stretch them a little and hook them onto the hook barb.
What works better than that are those bands they use for braces, but I don't know where you can get them. The kid down the road from us that knew my step kid got their braces taken off and I got a few of them, those were the perfect size. When I was doing weedless fishing I looked all over for them, except the dentist's office, because I avoid that place like the plague.
I'm giving you guys a head start 'cause I'm just that good. NOT.
Actually some of you that have been around for awhile know I got back issues. Well Monday when I was out the on/off switch for the Trolling Motor quit, so I had to replace it. I planned on fishing again on Tuesday so I left the boat hooked up to the truck and took my bike in the morning to get the part.
First place I stopped at wasn't open yet so I went to option number two. As I was parking, their lot has some slope to it, somehow I must of got to much on one side while barely moving and the bike dropped on it's side.
It didn't go all the way down because I have engine guards on it, but I still needed to pick it up. I was alone and had no choice but to do so. I used the "back to the bike, grab, stand up and walk back" method and like always it worked.
Trouble is a Harley Davidson Heritage Softtail weighs a little more than 10 lbs. I knew I would pay for it in 2 days, which is when it always hits me, and yesterday it did.
Damn I could hardly stand or walk by 12:30 pm yesterday the pain was so bad. Took more meds than normal to try and keep it in check. I got things I have to do this weekend so I'm sure by Monday I will need several days of rest just to get back to "my" normal.
So catch 'em while you can guys because as soon as I can get back on the water I'm hitting it! Last year in April was my best month ever in my life, I caught my PB of 7 lbs, several 4-6 lbers and more 3+ lbers than I could count.
Damn I missing out on the best fishing time in Central Florida on the St Johns.
Sorry to here that Fred, I know you have been battling back issues for quite some time. Best of luck on your recovery.

Yup I go to the dentist once every two years. Never had a cavity (knock on wood) so other than a cleaning I don't need to go and I hate the cleaning cause they have that stupid machine that makes the high pitched sound that just hurts my ears and brain. I mean good lord can't they come up with something less evil? They always ask me if I am in pain because every muscle in my body tenses up and I look like I am being cut open or something.
See now you got me thinking about dentists instead of fish...need to go back to my happy place!

So I stopped at this pond I kept seeing. Very small but figured why not. To my suprise its deep.
Started casting wondering if anything is even in there.
30mins nothing. Then all of a sudden the biggest bass ive ever seen followed my swimbait up.
Has to be atleast 10lbs but honestly... i never seen one this big. Maybe 12lbs. I will have to visit this big girl again.

I seen the same thing a few weeks back on my lake. Spooked her off a bed as I went by. I went back several times and seen nothing :-( caught her male though.
Nice 15" chunk Lou.
Thanks WEST. Rick and I joined up at the park today. He caught 3 within the first 20 min of us starting. Then the ski boat took a client out water skiing and that shut the bite down. Fortunately I didn't get skunked. Thank goodness that 15"r decided to swipe at my spinnerbait.
Unfortunately 1 of my three was not worth a measure. But that wacky senko is doing its job!
Not sure if it was the wacky rig or the color but they liked it. Then I ran out of black and blue senkos, tried the other colors but nothing. I think it was that stinking boat.
LOU by the way I moved down a bit towards the bench and lower west side of the lake and the assclown driving the boat started doing laps in that area. I'll wack him with my tiny spinner bait that I can cast a mile next time. lol >:D

Has to be atleast 10lbs but honestly... i never seen one this big. Maybe 12lbs. I will have to visit this big girl again.
LOL I had something similar happen in a small pond as well except the fish chasing my crank was a very big peacock. The pond is small enough that I can cast anywhere in it, but it is DEEP! That Peacock came from the depths.
There are also largemouth in there, I just don't know if there are any big enough worth my time.
Nice fish guys. All I got today was a 15 inch catfish on 8lb test line, and a 19 inch croaker. But I know there are a lot of very well fed crabs in that area. ~bb

Have fun, I haven't caught one of those in ages. They have them around here periodically, some even able to be caught from the jetties, but I don't frequent those places anymore. I don't have the patience and somebody would end up being Chark Bate.

Well today sucked. I caught a 7 inch mangrove snapper that wasnt big enough to keep. I hooked a little grunt by the belly and that is all. 5dozen shrimp and nothing to show for it lol.

I forget that saltwater outings are not as long as freshwater ones. Sorry the outing was a bust. I remember when we did outings to the keys, we came back empty handed a lot, but we made some cool memories.

Could have stayed longer when you arent catching fish and you are constantly losing hooks swivels and sinkers it gets tiring.
Wow, sorry to hear. I never fished the keys so don't know how it is over there.
I fished Sunshine Skyway on the St. Pete side a lot because it was close and I wanted to be pier trash.
Most of the gear I lost there was thanks to too big fish hitting it, although there were days I caught something, but not to bring home.
At least it wasn't a skunk trip.
Did you get any pictures? :)
You are going to put in a report on the saltwater board, aren't you?? ;D

Oh found it on my own. Yeah its not easy to find...might want to make the child board link bigger or something haha.
Anyways, I posted my report. :-/ Hope it helps.
Might get out to the canal to test out my new stick baits and my new BPS Bionic Plus reel and Berkley 6 foot rod. I'll try some top water with it though the canal hasn't produced anything for me other than a small peacock. Don't think anyone needs to worry about me catching anything of substance for the competition. ... or do you?
Never know, there Rick. Thanks for the post. I know we are small, but massive in heart. ~roflmao ~bb
Interestingly enough I just saw bfn18's post. I caught 2 myself both were about 11.5 to 12 inches in length. I caught them on a Watermelon Gold Flake Sticko. Gold Flakes must be the ticket today! lol BTW nice fish bfn.
Tried out the new stick baits also, they look great in the water though I didn't catch any fish with them. Worried that perhaps they sucked, I tried a BPS Sticko in Watermelon Red Flake just like the Ebay ones and got no bites on that either. Weew. It isn't the stick baits, just the color apparently lol.
Might as well report the good and the bad. I skunked out today. Went to a canal that has not been producing for a couple months now, and today was not any better. Lol... I was hell bent on frogging today. Sadly missed 4. Which is rare, but missed them nonetheless. Looks like i will be looking for new fishing areas soon.
Well I worked all day and the wife for our anniversary cleaned out, painted, and installed wall hangers for the garage. It is awesome! The mother in law helped along with another friend.
Now I need to cut the tounge of my trailer so its a swing away and it will sit in the garage more often.
Nice fish everyone. Rick with more senkos... geeze lol

Caught 21 nice bream and my first Big O Talipia
Also caught 1 small bass and lost 1 small one.
Jim
Bassindude, that's not a tilapia, but a big mayan cichlid. I didn't know they could be found that far north.
I wasnt sure Lou. I know they both have the long dorsal fin. I was thinking the Talipia were bluish in color. Thanks for the correction.
Jim
Im gonna name him Sammich. ;)

Nice job Jim! Some good eating right there.
Also very good job on the garage Mrs West! Impressive!
So mayans are good to eat? Do they taste similar to any other fish? Also how are they caught?
Caught that one on a cricket fishing for Bream. In the same general location.

Catching that Mayan Cichlid in the central part of state is rare. I know that MC's have called South FL their home for a couple of decades now. But Central FL has left me scratching my head. They are sensitive to cold water like peacock bass are. The only thing I can think of, is that they are learning to adapt and may be expanding to the North a bit. The one that Bassindude caught was a nice size so its been around for a little while. They are scrappy fighters and make for some fun fishing.

I have always heard MC's taste very good. There meat from what I hear are salmon colored. But I am sure Bassindude will confirm that for us.
As far as how to catch them, they are pretty easy to catch. The lure that I tear them up with if i were to be exclusively fishing for them would be a F7 Rapala. Gold or Silver black will do the trick. A spinning outfit will be recommended for this. They hit hard and never quit. They have the same fighting spirit as peacock bass. Cast parallel to the bank. Since they breed often, you will see them literally right up on the bank in the canals. They protect their nests very aggressively and their fry even more.
Good info thanks.
You are right about the fight Lou. I thought it was a bass. The meat is the color of catfish meat. A slight yellowish tint, where as the Bream are a few shades whiter. I may have to try actually fishing for them. That one was in a small cut between the canal and open water, and right on the bank.

I stand corrected on the flesh color, and where you caught the MC sounds about right. If your going to go after them specifically, focus on along the bank. As close as you can get it. If you can find rocky sediment along the bank you will more likely find them as well. My limited experience with Central Fl lakes is that they are sandy along the bank. If you do have a population of MC's there will be more close by. The warmer the water and hotter the day the better. Good luck. They are fun to catch.
What is everyone's thoughts on real looking swimbaits?
How would they do in clear water?
I think they will do fine. The key would be if you have the patience to throw it. Big swimbaits will catch really big bass but its a waiting game. You will have to chuck and wind a lot. But the reward will be really big fish.
I had one that looked like a bluegill, and only knew about one or two clear lakes around so I didn't throw it much.
When I did, man did I catch the catfish. ~roflmao
I would think it would work great in clear water.

The reason I ask is because I have used 5 inch mullet Strom swimbaits in saltwater, and have caught snook on them. Figured same concept would apply to bass fishing.
I imagine the smaller the swimbait the better the catch ratio, as it would increase the window of fish you would attract. Was thinking about trying em over at the Tropical since the water is really clear, just can't do it on the rock ledge side. Don't want them getting hung up.
Obviously mullet wouldn't be the best color so I would have to try something else. The website I buy my cheap cranks from sells some nice looking hard plastic swimbaits I would love to try too but I don't care for the treble hooks on the bottom. Wish they had the hook on the top for less snags.

I don't throw big swim baits, the biggest thing I throw are big ez's. I did't know how $$ swimbaits could get. They can reach upwards of hundred's of dollars. Yikes!! They do come in different hook configurations. Baby bass, bream,or gold shiner colors I feel will do better in our waters. If you decide to start throwing them Rick, just know that the quantity of bite will die down but your quality will improve. Good luck.

Thanks Lou. I think I will give them a shot. If I do buy a couple from wlure I'll have to wait about 20 days to get them anyways. But at 7 bucks a pop, compared to 20+ dollars the 20 days is worth it lol.
They look ridiculously real too.
Ya know I have seen some small bass try to suck down some huge baits.
I am bad about trying to match the size of the bait to what is out there. Before the bait fish spawn, predators seem to be looking for larger size bait, after the bait spawn they seem to be more comfortable with smaller baits, in general.
Yeah I have had small bass hit long jerk baits or cranks. Not sure what they were thinking when they tried to swallow a 5 inch jerk that is clearly 3 inches smaller than them lol.

Suddenly I realized. Im fishing against my girlfriend, my own gear, in my own spots.
Son of a. Lol.
Hey Rick,
I got a friend that swears by the Storm Swimbaits that look like both Bluegill and Crappie. He says that they work really good until the Bluegill bite the tail off then they are junk and throw them away.
I sold them at the Sporting Goods Dept and always asked folks to come back and give me a report on them but no one ever did.
These do not look like the one West Posted but have a Single hook pointed up I think? Can't remember for sure about the single hook or the direction but they did not have a bill for sure.
They come in Mutli Packs and in different sizes.
I've never used them myself.
I have used the smaller ones, also made by Storm that have the hook already in them. There is a clear/greenish/blue one that looks like it should be good if you have shad available, but haven't tried that one. The ones I tried were the white ones and I did no good with them but haven't used them a lot. There also is a Blue one.
I had a guy on the water tell me once that he uses them and has luck with both the Blue and the Clear/Green/Blue ones.
They come in single packs and different sizes too.
To me they cost to much when I can buy several Swimbaits and my own hooks for less. If you try them let us know how they work for you.

Thanks for the info Fred. I checked out the storm site, they do have the one West is talking about the Kickin Slab. They have a Redear, and a Bluegill as well.
The swimbait I used today at the canal I think is a storm, perhaps old one and for saltwater but this Jag Guapote didn't seem to mind, it also didn't mind that it was nearly half its size. If you look closely you can see the bait in its mouth.

Thanks west. You would think for the price they charge for some of those swimbaits 100+ dollars, they would be made of gold or at least have 24k gold flakes in them lol.
I was at Bass Pro once and saw a bunch of baits with prices out of this world for my tastes. I kept thinking so that's why blue water charters are so expensive. I looked up and looked around and I was in the bass section.
They had to wheel me out of the isle because I was paralyzed from sticker shock.

I agree with you for sure. There used yo be a guy on here that used them a ton and caught huge fish on them.
I bet. All the research ive done in the last day or two indicate that if you do catch a fish with some of these it will be a big ol pig. Saw a video on youtube saying to expect no more than 3 bites on a good day. Lol. Thats all fine and dandy so i didnt buy any 7 inch or 8 inch baits. I stuck the the 4.5 and 5 inch. If they suck well at least they look cool and i can always hang them on a wall somewhere in my house hahaha
lolol I think his name was Manbearpig if I'm not mistaken. A search my yield his posts. He was from S FL.
I usually run two large swimbaits (hard) each trip. A list of top notch baits to check out 3:16 lure company, Jackall, Huddleston, Hinkle, plus a ton of customs. I prefer either surface or very shallow because of the vegetation here. Price can get costly but I think it can be worth it.
That is the problem with targeting just big fish in general.
In winter in the Bayou, I sit all day, throwing all kinds of bait, and soaking others only to catch one or 20+ black drum.
I hear a lot of shark reports and they sit on the beach all weekend long soaking HUGE baits and are all excited with a couple of runs, no hookups, and maybe one 4 or 5 footer.

Yeah I have a system, two large swimbaits, a plastic, punch rig, and then something small either small plastic or crank
Here Rick I goggled ultimate bass and found this. Not sure if he is still active. He also used a "stinger" rig he made for them as well.

Well I clicked his avatar and he is still posting. He catches some hogs for sure. I swore he was from S FL but it says Tampa. I just thought I remembered him posting some peacock bass up.

Nice job hunting that down. Yeah them huddlestons arw expensive lol. I cant buy anything expensive ill lose it. I lost the swimbait i caught that jag on lol. I lose everything i throw which is why i am cheap! I dont feel bad if i lose a 2 dollar crank.
Went to the park for a bit and unfortunately caught nothing worth posting. My highlight of my outing was when I launched my bait really far into some deep water. I was working the bait slowly when I felt a tick. My heart starting racing because at that depth and distance it had to be a pig...... not!!! I was fishing a 5" stickbait and the bass I caught must have been 4" long!! ~roflmao
As I was leaving, this guy stopped me asked me if I caught anything. I said no kept walking. The guy calls me excitedly as he runs to get his cell phone. What he showed me next really bothered me. The guy proudly showed me a pic of a mound of Peacock bass with some largemouth in the mix. That he caught at some remote location. I told him if he got caught, there were serious fines to be payed. He laughed it off, and told me he knew that, but there was no way there going to catch him where he was fishing. I walked off shaking my head and that was that. I understand fish can be kept and that's cool, but to harvest all those fish really bugged me.
Nice report in the other thread, Lou.
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, some people just don't care. But then again if he had a legal limit, what can you do. If it wasn't legal ...... it seems to all even out in the end.

He had more than triple the limit in that picture. Our limits of peacocks are 2 per day, and bass are 5. There were more than 6 nice peacocks alone, not including the bunch of other bass. This happens down here all the time. So much water that to regulate is close to impossible.

So true, too much area for the few Fish and Game guys to cover. And it is very hard to snitch on em, many times too.
I hear ya Lou. I'm 100% okay with keeping your amount of fish but a ton over limit is just being an a##hole.

I agree and then being brash enough to brag about it takes to a whole other level.
The only thing you can do in that case is Report Them if you think they still have the fish. With just a Pic they could say that it was them and a few friends and not much the LEO could do.
I'm heading out to the River here in a few. I'll post a report up when I get back.
Ditto.. but to a lake. Fred watch out for any of Lou's cartel members trying to sabotage you!
Hey West, I am beyond worrying about Lou's cartel. I am now more worried about his ability to jinx anyone at any given moment. The other day at the lake he says hey you should get some crocs so you can stand in the shallow water in these grassy areas for a longer cast and when the water levels rise. He leaves and about 30 minutes later i cast and without noticing put a foot forward onto what i thought was dry land only to feel my sock soaked. The water went through the mesh of my sneaker.
Back when he first met me he made a comment about one of my spinning rods and reels being to lightweight for the glades if i was to pull a fish out of a few pads. Turns out that weekend it happened.
Then another time he said the wind is to strong to fish the side of the lake you want to fish. I get out of the car and 0 wind. Im like ok dude has lost it... I walk to the lake where im hit by hurricane force winds and have to head back to the car to get to the other side of the lake.
You guys are too funny

I tell you what, today I really did wish i had mystical powers. I will explain in my next post.
I posted my report for today, but I will include a tad more details here to you guys. ~shade
Like I mentioned earlier, went to the park again. Fished a different section than I did yesterday. I fished very concentrated cover. I was using a stickworm however I have been experimenting throwing it rage rigged. I really like the way the bait falls when its presented like that. However, the fishing action was slow. I made a terminal tackle switch and the hits became a little more consistent. Like you all saw earlier, I manage to catch a 15" and several more but they were not as big. Unfortunately, my ruler broke. Cracked right in the middle. That did not last long. :( Fortunately I have another one I can use.
Now here is a question for all of you that bank fish. How much berth do you give a another bank fisherman that you are fishing close to? I ask this because the park lake I fish on is huge. Just the side I was on today, I would guess would be more than 20+ acres. So i am fishing minding my business. I see more than 200 yds away to the West, a car pulls up and fisherman steps out. 200 yards to my East, 2 other guys are fishing. Within 10 mins of this. The guy from the West and the 2 guys to the East have converged to either side of me 25 yards away. Understand my casts avg 30-40 yds!! Needless to say, i looked around marveled how much water was around me, and these 3 guys had to come right up on me. I moved locations when I noticed no one was going to move. A little while after that I left. Unbelievable.
Lol!! and you guys say I have mystical powers.... ~roflmao.... now that I think of it.... I do. I attract other fisherman to mess up my spots!! ~rant
Dang potlickers, I get em all the time around here. Some try to cast right on top of your baits. ~rant All they have to do is see your rod bend or you catch one stinking little minnow, and they all show up, like a crap magnet. ~rant
Sometimes some places around here will actually be elbow to elbow when some species is running, one of the reasons I don't' use corks or lures much, too much congestion, crossed lines and flared tempers, usually mine. ~roflmao
The park I fish at usually isn't that bad, there are picnic benches probably every 50 to 80 yards apart, usually people set up at a "Pavillion". If it is crowded, you will get one in between each bench, but it isn't too bad.
Ya know, that ESPN, it comes and goes. ;) ~roflmao
I see it all the time too. Your fishing and haven't had a hit, but someone sees you setting there. next thing you know they are fishing there too. The another guys sees both of you and figures that must be where they are biting so he comes over too.
And so on and so on and so on...............
Yep I've had it happen. But I am like Lou and will move on.

Is it ESPN? I thought he just crushed up some unicorn horn, fed it to a goat then rode the goat 2 miles...
ESPN does sound more plausible. Or is it ESP?
As far as fishermen all up on me, it happens all the time. More in saltwater though. If you are fishing ona pier or under a bridge there is always someone or a few people that will crowd you. Cast over you, get all tangled up on your line and then wonder why you're upset.
Lou its kind of like that guy frogging the other day...granted he was fishing fast but he came all the way to where I was and cast right next to me. People have no respect for others. On Saturday in the Keys I was fishing nearly under the bridge and some guy gets there with his wife and little girl and just posts up in front of me and to my left between me and the bridge. I didn't have my line in the water but I have my stuff there, and I am in the process of taking a lure off to put a circle hook on and a sinker. I would think that any decent person would realize that and think, hmm I should probably ask before getting in there.
So now he has the prime spot and is casting in the shadows of the bridge. So I start casting out in front of me and he changes his casts, now he is casting at an angle in my direction. REALLY DUDE????
Of course if he wasn't there with his family I would have told him something but I'm not that big of a dick to cause a problem with his family there. lol ~rant ~rant ~rant ~rant
I'm back in the sunshine state. We got to Lewis Smith just in time to be greeted by a nasty cold front. 25 mph winds and rain all weekend. My nephew and I boated about 30 spotted bass and 1 LM. Nothing big but a lot of fun catching the spots on topwater. Never could get a striper to bite but had a great vacation.
Now back to work.

What is the highest amount we've ever had say they were "in" for any month?

I think our record is 15. I have been trying to recruit more Fl members but its been a slow process. I think Swede's suggestion of submitting reports might indirectly help us in the future.
Congratulations on your first Braggin Rights fish Jim.
Thanks Thomas. Gonna have to start working soon so the trips will be less often. Good thing the lake is nearby lol.
Got two to cull my two smallest today, post a new thread report for it.
I'm willing to bet I could of gotten a few more if the wind hadn't picked up like it did and chased me off. Some day I hope that I can get a boat that can handle that kind of stuff but today wasn't that day.
It was the 1st time I had the guts to go that far out into the lake to get to that side. No wonder so many like to fish over there it was awesome.
To put the size of Lake George into prospective, my boat runs 32 at WOT. I usually run it at about 27 or so because it really makes a difference in the fuel mileage. Leaving the entrance to the lake, which is marked by a wooden jetty, it took about 10-15 minutes to get to the west bank.
I could see it and was thinking "dang I should be getting there soon" but it took a long time. That was the first time I was out on a body of water that large in my current boat and I must say it was a little unnerving.
I've been out on the edges of Lake Erie in my old 18 ft Bass Boat and when it got rough it got scary. But this little boat has had me scared more than once when the waves came up quick and hit the 2 ft or more zone.
Someday I'll have another bigger boat.
If you really want to get freeked out bring it down to Okeechobee, and head toward the middle. ~roflmao

Well boys and girls, this is shaping up to be a weak month for me. :'(
The project I am on at work has now been pushed back from the 15th to the 22nd. Looks like I'll be putting in more hours than I'd like. >:(
BTW Lou, thanks for fixing my numbers. I do keep track cause I don't want to have to ask you all the time how many points I have lol.

Nope not going to even try that.
Lake Monroe on the river near Sanford is a fairly shallow lake running 4-8 ft most places. It gets whipped up quick by the wind. I came out of a cut where I had been fishing for a while and the wind had come up while I was back in there.
The waves were an honest 2-3's as I started across it. Made it about halfway and the motor died. figured out later I had a bare wire that shorted it out. Anyway the only thing I could do was drop the troller and head for the ramp. I had my life jacket on and was glad to have it. Waves were busting over the bow and me setting there on the trolling motor made it heavier and therefore worse. I was making it as best as I could, but I will admit I was more than a little worried. Finally two guys that were fishing saw me waving a white rag at anyone that would pass by and they came to help me and towed me to near the ramp.
I was ready to kiss the ground when I made it off the water.
Didn't go fishing today.. but it's been good one.

I will be more than likely, but nothing major. Just bank fishing a canal for couple of hours. Tomorrow I will be hitting a canal with my brother in law that has always produced nice fish for me. I haven't been do it in 2 yrs.

Yes sir. Now blank shopping!
Morning guys & gals.
You guys were killing it this weekend while all I could do was read and watch. I'm heading out here shortly and I'm hoping some feeding activity is still going on.
Planning to go to a different spot than I have yet this month. Been fishing it for about 10 years on and off and just starting to SORT OF figure it out. Rarely catch a lot of fish there but the ones I do are usually decent. The place is loaded with fish and I have been told of personal experiences of catching 8-10 lbers from there. I have a 7 lb from last year there.
Crazy thing about this place is almost everything looks the same and from the ramp all the way around it it is ringed with Stem Pads. Some places hold fish and some don't. There is also some reed grasses that grow here and there. Not a big lake but it gets pounded every weekend from the Jet Skis and Ski Boats. I mean it gets bad wakes out there just from them doing it on purpose.
The last time I fished it on a weekend morning I was trying to leave before they took over the lake. One guy just kept running circles 100 ft from the ramp throwing wakes all over it. Took me 4 times to get the boat on the trailer. The parking area was taken over with Jet Skis & Trailers for them. They had a regular party going on with a Portable Repair Garage set up tuning the Jets, Music blasting, and people everywhere.
I'm walking back up the loading dock after finally getting the boat on the trailer and one guys says to me "you think there is any alligators out there". I just looked at him and said "not today" and kept walking.
Park is doing pretty good today. 5.5lbs and 21"r

Nice fish Lou.
I caught 4 today and lost 2 at the boat. Missed several to. They were just not taking it very well, light hits and not committing to taking it.
Fortunately last 2 bank fishing outings have been very successful. Unfortunately, I will not be going to the Glades for the month of April. :'(.... my boat is having engine problems and my schedule along with my mechanics schedule does not allow us to meet til the end of month.
Next Saturday I will trying out a new area so hopefully I can bust the century mark wide open this month.
Nice fish Lou and numbers!
I am off the next 7 days so I hope to catch a few. Fishing tomorrow AM with a bud of mine.

Lou you can come rough it with me on the banks of the glades if you want this weekend lol. It will require far more endurance than using your trolling motor to get around but its better than nothing. Maybe you can break that 100 mark even from the bank. If it doesnt work out then at least you get some excersise lol.

If it's like mine there is a hose that comes out the back (Evinrude). Those little Mud Borrers (dobbers) carry small specks of dirt up it and they will clog it quicker than snot.
Mine they like to go all the way to the plastic Elbow that screws into the head. I take the hose off and see if I can blow through it. If I can then I unscrew that elbow and 95% of the time that is where it is plugged at.
The first time it happened I took mine to the mechanic too. He showed me how to do it my self. It's about a 10 minute fix.

Lou you can come rough it with me on the banks of the glades if you want this weekend lol. It will require far more endurance than using your trolling motor to get around but its better than nothing. Maybe you can break that 100 mark even from the bank. If it doesnt work out then at least you get some excersise lol.
Or we could take my raft...um...inflatable boat out there on its maiden voyage. We just wont get very far on just a trolling motor i think.
Thanks for the offer. Hmmmm..... inflatable and the glades in the same sentence just doesn't seem to gel. ~roflmao

Lou. Forgot to tell you if the hose is plugged take an old wire coat hanger and push out the mud. Any cable stiff enough will do it too.
I know a couple of guys that carry a small roll of cable just for doing that at the ramp if they need to, don't take long for them to plug it up.
Also you don't need it to pee to run it. It is only there for a Visual Guide that the impeller is working. Only do that in an Emergency though.

Thanks Fred. Did the wire thing, no obstuction what so ever. Could be the water pump may be out.

Might be. Mine they usually plug at the elbow right at the power head where it exits. I have to remove the elbow to check. Only plugged the hose one time.

In case anyone is interested Academy has 300 yrd power pro for 15 bucks. That beats the 150 you would get for about 14 bucks from walmart.

Had three hours to fish and I am trying to learn something new again this year, which is frog fishing.

I'll be in Orlando this weekend!
I already checked out the one in orlando. Pretty nice. They had a killer looking sunfish swimbait.
H2o express swimbait. Pretty cheap to was like $6.00

Has anyone ever used a a frog like a Humpin' Toad as a trailer for a jig?
I've never really heard of anyone using it but I was on one of my night ops after my softball game. I threw the top water frog (Booyah Pad Crusher) for about 45 minutes and decided to try what I had rigged up a few nights ago. A black jig and a dark trailer...what do I have other than silly worms. Hmmmmm a Humpin' Toad from BPS in Black Magic color. Hell why not? It is dark, bulky and can make a good amount of commotion in the water if I swim it. I threw it a few times, jerking it around and fishing it slow, then I cast and fished it as a swim jig which it was. A steady retrieve and near the bank the 15.25 hit. Wacked it good. I kept fishing it for another 15 minutes without any success but then it was time to leave.

Frogs as trailers work really well in a lot of cases.
Personally I use uncle Josh pork frogs as trailers on spoons and jigs.
Another fun way to really get reaction strikes is take the skirt off a buzzbait and toss on a horny toad or whatever you want.

Interesting, thanks! Yeah I guess I would never have thought to do this except for the fact it was night fishing and in my past experience smaller, quiet baits don't seem to have much effect. I suspect a faster moving bait would catch the attention of the bass far better than something slow and light. Also bulkier seems to help, must make it easier for the fish to see in the dark. I think with a bit more time I could have caught another on that setup. I realize the size of it would probably cause smaller fish to just ignore it.
Way to get your five Rick. Good job!!
Had sometime to fish at the park. Caught 5 but the "one" to put me over the century matk eluded me.
I caught a ton of fish today including two nice ones. Most on Stanley Ribbit frog or a speed worm.
I'll cull later on. Lunch time!

Nice fish West. My trip today was very short, but I did manage a lb or so croaker, so it wasn't a skunk fest.
Sorry Fred muahaha! Lou I'm gunning for you! I have the next 5 days off!
Figured I'd give you guys the skinny from today.
It was supposed to rain all day.. it was overcast till around noon!
Water temp was 80 to 81 all day. It was a flat water calm day very light breeze at the end as it cleared up. The fish were literally caught all the way around the lake and coves. Mainly on speedworms on the first fall. I caught them off grass to lone trees to points of the coves. We caught 3 at 20+"s mine went 3.11 and 3.3 I think sarges went 3lbs and change as well.
The first few fish I caught on top water then when the bite died I swapped to the speed worm. The big fish were all on worms.
This is the lake, neat place my Sarge grew up on and knows the grove owners who give us access. Grass ramp...

I have heard of this chain before. I wonder if it will make its way to South Fl?
The guy said they just opened 4 in Orlando and are opening some in Tampa soon.
That is my go to big box store, have a lot of decent stuff for decent price. Their H2O mettle reel is kick :ass I have a couple and they have held up to the salt very well.

I bought some stuff from them the other day. I posted on here they had a sale. I got me some power pro 300 yards for 15 bucks! I also got a rod rack, and the black and yellow frog I was throwing today. Though my order came split. I only got the frog the other day, still waiting on the rod rack and the braid.
Only problem I had from ordering from them was when I got a rod shipped, they didn't do very well with that, three times. Finally shipped me a refund instead.
Well Deadeye, I guess I'll join you in the back pains department. Hows yours doing? I pulled something playing softball on Wednesday and ive got a new tightness in the center of my back ive never felt before. Im used to the lower back pains from my excessive weight but this one is very different. :( its more like a stabbing in the center of my back.

You may have pulled a vertebrae out of alignment. A chiropractor can give a quick adjustment and you will feel instant relief. After a couple of days you will feel a lot better.

Eww a chiropractor? I dont trust doctors what makes you think ill trust a quack? Lol
The way I see it is you have 2 options: A. Continue operating with stabbing back pain that will wear you down or B. Go see a specialist that can easily fix your problem and feel better. Chiropractors have fixed me in more than one occassion and they made me feel better quick. Choice is yours. ;)
Those are some crappy options lol
Here's option C. Wait it out and over time the pain will go away. ;)

Picked up some Academy brand baits. Swim bait (bluegill 3.5) was $6. Lip less (American shad) was $3. Top water (slush daddy) was $4.

The Sebile "pivot" frog was $7 I think. It's odd to only have one hook, but it moves freely.. I think it's on a hinge or something.
I am literally just moving my hand.. the weight of the bait moved freely around the hook. I assume the weighted hook is to help it sit in the water right and not act like dragging a huge exposed hook through the water. We shall see!

This one is a Sebile not an h20. Most hollow bodies do after a while. Give it a few squeezes every few cast.

Ah ok. Yeah I know they do but I was expecting it to last a little longer before i started to have to squeeze the thing. Oh well.
I just got my other box from Academy. Still very happy abouit my 50lb 300yrd power pro purchase for 15 bucks. I guess I'll find out about my rod rack when I assemble it.
I got a rod rack from them when on clearance, one that looks like a chest of drawers with six rod holders on each side. It has worked out great for me, although now I have more rods than it can hold. When we get a place with more room, might have to buy a half dozen more of them. ~b~

Great Advise.
I've been using them for years since I was in my teens. The trick is to find one that really knows what they are doing, just like any Dr. My current one is awesome. They do the Electronic patches with heat, Physical manipulation, Hammer Gun manipulation, Water Jet Bed, Roller Table, Spinal Decompression Table, Massage Chair that really works.
Has kept me being able to move by seeing them every two weeks for over 2 years.
Before that I just went when I needed to see one. After awhile you know when you put something out of place and usually 1-3 treatments and your good to go.

Look good West, let us know how they work.

Try putting a drop or two of Super Glue on the nose where the hook-eye enters the body. Most often this is where the water gets pulled in. Sealing this helps keep the water out, but you will still need to give it a squeeze every so often to make sure it stays empty. Just becomes part of it after a while and you don't really think about it.
The frog could have also torn somewhere and water is leaking in. Unfortunately that happens often.
Quote from: Pferox on April 20, 2015, 09:30:50 PM
I got a rod rack from them when on clearance, one that looks like a chest of drawers with six rod holders on each side. It has worked out great for me, although now I have more rods than it can hold. When we get a place with more room, might have to buy a half dozen more of them. ~b~
Ah, mine is just a simple rod rack. Circular that spins. I have an area to place it right by the front door. If I ever get more rods, I'll just buy another one. But the rack was either 12 or 14 bucks on sale. Thought it was perfect for my needs.

Yeah I'll look into that.
I didn't see any rips in the frog so this may be what is happening.
On another note, the weather has really turned to shit down here in the last 2 days. We had thunderstorms yesterday with tornado warnings. I guess it's kinda good considering the fires along 8th street (Tamiami Trail). The bad thing is fishing in a thunderstorm/tornadoes is just a tad dangerous. ~rain
Yep here too.. and I'm getting a roof installed... poor guys worked in the rain yesterday for a while.
9 days left in the month!! ~sweat What's everyone's gameplan? My boat hopefully gets fixed this Saturday. Fingers crossed. This 1/2 " to hit a 100" is driving me crazy!! This is the closest I have ever been, but I don't have a lot of fishing window's left..... ~rant

That sounds like a good deal. The only reason I actually got this one was because the Wife saw it on clearance and it was like $100 bucks off the normal price. Too expensive for what I use it for.
We had rain most of the weekend finally cleared up, but it is kind of cool now.
Pulling the boat out now for this afternoon of fishing.

OH man, that sounds like fun, where you going out of? A charter, party boat, or friend's boat? And you are going to post a report in the salty section, right?

Lou thats going to cut into your bass fishing. But that sounds like a fun fishing trip.
I personally am not big on the offshore stuff just cause of sea sickness. Its hit or miss with me.
I wear the prescription patch. Prevents all my seasickness. Also... just found out a little while ago, we have a family venue conflict, so i will not be able to go to the fishing trip.

Awww, sorry to hear, that was a nice fish, BTW.
Prescription patch? Never knew there was one. The stuff they sell at the store sucks. Puts me to sleep almost instantly. That sucks lou that you cant go on the trip.
Here they are Rick, you ask your Dr for the script. This has been a lifesaver for me. I very prone to seasickness. I wear one of these, and I have 0 problems. Wow, I never got seasick. Used to get queasy when running slow and diesel exhaust would come over the back of the boat. But after we opened up and the fumes cleared out all was well.
Dunno about now though since I get sick and intestinal problems at the drop of anything after the surgery.
It must be miserable to be sick like that.

Yeah. I know it does suck, but last year the same thing happened and I chose to go fishing and I caught a lot of ^-^ for missing the family function. I can't in good conscious miss it 2 yrs in a row.

Getting seasick is not fun!! You actually do turn green. lo. Not really... but you do look very ill. Since childhood I was prone to seasickness. During my short stint as a pilot I never got airsick. Fortunately, neither my wife or son get seasick. My daughter, I don't know yet.
When I worked for the County over there the guys took a charter or two every year. One time we took a trip for Kings and man was it rough. We caught a lot of fish trolling, but just about everybody was hanging over the side of the boat by the time we decided it was time to come in.
Mark and I were the two "Serious Anglers" out of the bunch and we were fine. I felt sorry for the charter guy though, that deck was a mess. ~fl
It's been weird for me when I've gone offshore. First time no problem and it was rough, folks puking everywhere on the Party Boat.
Next time somewhat upset but was fine once I puked the first time.
Last time out was an outing I'd just as soon never experience again. This time was on a Private Boat. Fishing was good, but I couldn't stop puking. Got to where I was spitting up blood then pass out for awhile. Wake up, puke blood, pass out.
That scene repeated it's self for hours. I was so glad to get back into land.
However I never have any problem when I fish for bass?????? Even when I'm getting waked like you do on the River.
After the roofers left I called Sarge and he was already out. So I met him at the ramp. I managed only one fish, the 18" on that new swim bait from Academy.
Choked on it!

He caught it on a watermelon speed worm.. fished slow on a heavy bank slope. Water temp was 80°+, we had a slight breeze, but it was hot! We fished the Winter Haven chain of lakes BTW
Fred I really wish that big girl was mine lol we didn't measure it but I'm sure it was 22" or bigger. Weight was 6.9.. it was a solid big head fish. Bet it was 8lbs a few weeks ago. I easily held it's mouth with 2 hands and handed it to him and he grabbed it in between my hands.. (he has a bad hand so it takes him a second to grab a big one sometimes)

Awesome thanks.
West those are nice fish. Sounds like you should have pointed in the other direction while you cast into your spot. Lol. Jk.
As for the seasickness, ive gotten sick on a cruise. Its hit or miss. Ive been on boats and felt fine and other times its been absolute hell. My issue isnt when the boat is moving. Its when you are anchored down and its rocking. I also get car sick depending on who is driving. I have to sit in the front otherwise i have to be looking forward through any opening i can. If i even look down while in the back seat my stomach gets all churned up. It royally sucks! On a good note ive never gotten sick on a jon. Skiff. Or flats boat.
That's a really good one your buddy boated West.
Had one die on me today, have no idea why.
Caught on a Frog and hooked in the top of the mouth. It was the 17 inch that culled the 16.5 for me. No Blood no nothing. Even bit me on the finger while I was holding it for the measure photo.
Released it and it started to swim away then just floated up. Watched it awhile and thought it was going to take off but didn't.
Caught it with the net and worked it back and forth for a bit to try and revive it. Then it splashed the heck out of me and I thought it was ready to go. Released it again and sure enough it came floating back up again.
Watched it awhile and then figured it was gone so re-netted it and put it in the Livewell. Never came back.
Gave it to a guy at the ramp and he was a happy as all get out.
I really like fish but have never cared for Bass, just like to catch them. Glad it went to good use.
Thanks for the report Deadeye and hat to see one die like that but so is nature and like you said it didn't go to waist.
Unfortunately the fish died, but hey, you made someone's day.
Nice fish guyz.
Ok Guys I'm done for the Month.
I will be leaving early tomorrow for PA. My mother has been hospitalized for severe Back Pain. Been on strong meds since Wednesday, Had shots done today. Will find out Monday if they need to do Surgery.
She is 84 so this is no small thing, anything could happen and I need to be there just in case.
Don't know when I'll be back, so if you would Lou just count me IN for May now.
Thanks
Headed to Toho in the morning. Most likely by myself. If anyone wants to jump in send me a message with a phone number and I will text in the morning.
Deadeye hope everything turns out ok for your mom. have a safe trip to Pa.
Im going to fish the griffin road canals this morning by vista view park in weston. There are multiple sub canals in the area and small ponds that seem accessable if google maps is correct. If i have no luck ill hit up vista view park at 8am when they open up. Deadeye sorry about your mom. Hope she gets better soon.
Went out yesterday for a few. It was hot! Caught 6 but the biggest was 16 so nothing to cull.
Safe trip Fred! Prayers for your mother.
Fred, sorry to hear about your Mom. I will include you in the May roster, no worries. Have a safe trip.
Goodluck this weekend to everyone who is hitting the water.
My boat is at the shop. My mechanic suspects the thermostat could be shot. Fingers crossed its a quick fix.

Thanks West. I have been trying to hit 100" for close to 2 yrs now. I have gotten close, but to be 1/2" away, I had to get out on the water and bust my butt to hit the goal. Fortunately I did. LANDING FISH: While landing fish, the fish cannot touch the carpet at any time during the process. If the fish comes unhooked from the bait and falls to the carpet it will be assessed as a violation. Excepted from this rule will be laying the fish on the carpet to remove a deep set hook, "only after it has been properly landed without it touching the carpet". Angler should first ask the Boat Official to lay the fish on the carpet before doing so. Additionally, angler is not allowed to cradle fish or allow fish that he is landing to touch his body. An angler cannot allow a fish to touch any part of his body other than his hands or forearms. From a rules standpoint, the body is to be treated the same as the carpet. - See more at: http://www.majorleaguefishing.com/news_details.aspx?id=2595#sthash.ZWpOdi4K.dpuf
RELEASING FISH: When releasing any fish that is scorable or not, the angler's hand must be at gunnel level or closer to the water. No flipping or tossing of fish.- See more at: http://www.majorleaguefishing.com/news_details.aspx?id=2595#sthash.ZWpOdi4K.dpuf
Both 2 minute penalties - stop fishing immediately. No adjusting any of your gear while in the penalty period either. You must just sit there and reflect on your sins lo
~roflmao.... Yikes!!..... Well in my case reflecting back on this trip I would be in a 3 hr penalty box!! ~roflmao

Nice video Lou, but noticed you had a couple of fish landing violations there. ~shade
If you watch Major League Fishing - you'll know what I'm talking about. lo
I love MLF. I subscribe to the online streaming of it. Yeah Lou defiantly had some Landing Violations.
I didn't have any fish landing violations. But I guess technically I would have had Releasing Fish Violation. All my fish were placed into the water but I was above the gunnel because there are gators in the water and I don't need to lose a hand.
What channel is MLF on? What time?

Awsome. Ball is on your court now. I am pretty much done for the month.
Here is another short clip from this past Sunday. I titled it Gator Encounter. You' ll see why when you watch the clip. I thought I lost this clip but that what not the case thank goodness. Its muted because my language was a bit colorful. A few ^-^'s and some ^-^'s will not go over well especially if a child decides to watch.
Also Fred, if you get to watch this video, I caught this bass in the bottom lip. Go figure. lo
Enjoy!!

That was insane. Lou's fish was almost gator chow.
That was close!
Well it was crazy windy and the clouds blew over super fast. I managed one that was probably 15 or so. Nothing that helps. I got tired of fighting the wind and called it. Off tomorrow also so we'll see.

Weather is supposed to clear a bit tomorrow.

I just posted a quick report. I caught 7 fish, but all were smaller than 10 inches. Unfortunately this month I was unable to find bigger fish. The ones I did find, I ended up blowing it. Next month I'll have to do a better job of bringing in the big ones.
Lou lied to you and had the ninja's pulling the big fish out of your spot when you weren't there and dropping them in his canals!!!
I demand a recount?? Lol
Seriously great job Lou (mumbles under breath: You suck)

Haha funny thing is i was cursing lous ninjas because on my first cast i noticed a knot in my braid. Im like how and when and this happen? Damn it Lou's ninjas! Then i had another snafu. I forgot my fish catching lip balm. Left 3 fishsticks in the car. So some more ninja cursing. I also realized i had forgotten to unpack my big bag and put my little bag in the car so here i am walking the bank with 10 pounds of stuff i took on the boat. This was clearly Lou's doing. Then i couldnt find my ruler and thought. Crap did i leave it on lous boat? No it was in the bag hiding under 10 pounds of crap. Lol.
Maybe you are right. Maybe it was the ninjas. Or cartel. Or both.
I am locking this one up boys. Continue over on the May BS thread.
