Hey guys, I'm looking at a 2001 Javelin Venom 18ft boat with a 115 Johnson on a Manual JP. It has a 24 volt TM. New carpet. Seats are showing some signs of wear, but not too bad. My 2 questions are: is the boat worth $6000? Also, the motor is an ocean pro, is that going to make a difference? I will be going by to look in person this evening & possibly buy it. Thanks for your input.

That's a nice looking boat there. You might want to drop in on the Stratos Boats section on UltimateBass and make a post there. Just click on the link below.

There are some guys there that run Javelins etc. Have you looked in the Kelly Blue Book for a price?
Drop back in when you get done taking a look at her. Let us know how your inspection went.
Check NADA.com to get a good price value as well.
Being an 01, it's going to be on the buyer and seller to decide what the boat is worth. IMO, if the motor checks out with a mechanic (compression check, fuel pressure, and a few other things) and the boat truly looks as the photo's show, I say it's well worth 6K.
Older used boats are tough. Finding one that looks that good at 14 years old is a rarity.
Thanks guys. I ended up buying my uncle's 1990 Procraft Pro Caster 190. I know the history of this boat & it's in as good of shape as the Javelin.
Low Retail = $5,200
High Retail = $5,900

Thanks Donald. I can't post them from my phone so I will post them from my laptop tonight.
I posted a few pics in the Procraft section.
