Fished the Gravois/ Indian creek area on Saturday and finished 6th in a 30+ boat tournament. Water temps were in the upper 50's to low 60's where I was fishing and the water has gotten cleaner in the past couple weeks since I fished it last. Threw several baits off and on all day but the one that I used primarily was a green pumpkin creature bait that had a little blue flake. Caught bucks shallow all day but in order to get any bass of size you had to move your lure out to about 6-10 foot of water. I tried to fish as much transitional banking as possible or look for brush piles sitting in the 6-10 FOW around docks.
Hoping the bite is still on at Pomme for this weekend
Thanks for the report Phill. Sounds like you and Eric had a good day. Did you guys fish that bank up in Indian creek where we spent that Sunday? I am ready for Pomme this weekend. I will call or text you Thursday.
We fished inside the coves more this week because it seemed they have started moving in. We fished a little pocket with pea gravel that had chunk rock on both sides and I caught 2 nice females about 10 feet from shore. Eric fished a similar scenario next to a dock that had a big brush pile next to it and landed a 6 lb'er but lost it due to a poor hook set.
yep sounds like some good fishing is coming on strong boys
