Title: Pro Gator 210 Boats ???
Post by: jamey912 on April 23, 2014, 02:24:41 AM
Has anybody been owned or fished out of a pro gator 210 looking to get the lowdown on them before I choose my first new boat?
I have been to the factory it's a mom and pop operation so the quality is good just wanting to see if there is any bad reviews on design like steering, stability, fish ability or anything I can find out about them.

Leroy Moore's craftsmanship is great. He's a great guy who stands behind his work. I haven't had the chance to be in the newer models lately. Historically, they've been a very solid boat that was on the heavy side. I'm pretty sure their latest designs have lightened up a bit. Haven't heard of any complaints from anyone either.

Not a 210, but I have a 170DV I bought new in 1999 and other than carpet and seat wear, it looks like a new boat.  Everything is still solid and I have not had any problems at all.

I have a 2011 170 and let me start out saying that I love it, the only problem I have had with it is the live well pump will not prime up, I have to put the boat in reverse to get it pumping water, talked to some guys that have the same problem and some that don't, but overall I think you would be pleased with a new pro gator...

My friend Tony has one he bought in the mid 90's.  Not sure what model, but I think its an 18'.  He fishes hard, hard and hasn't hurt his yet.
