Post by: jesse1378 on March 30, 2014, 11:55:47 AM
Well i got my daughter out on the boat for the first time ever and she loved it. After my wife and daughter left i stayed to try and fish. i have been wanting to learn some new stuff....that didnt last long. i ended up in one of the coves. water temp was mid 50s all over the lake. and upper 50s in the cove. i caught a 3lb 7oz drum on a soft plastic stickbait. Then i caught a 9lb 3oz drum on a squarebill. im not very good at fishing cold water for bass so i really didnt have a clue. The big drum is my biggest fish ever so i was still happy. That thing had 2 big 6" shad in its belly and still ate my crankbait. anyway. with the weather like this next weekend the bass should be ready to spawn. not sure what size bass are in the lake i have only caught a couple and the biggest was almost 3lbs.
