After the Second Day of the WBT Competition, there is now a Co-Angler Champion Crowned and the playing field is set up for the Lady Pro's to hit the water alone and pull no punches in the race to be the First WBT Champion.
Pam-Martin Wells started Day 2 with a strong lead in a competition where larger bass are hard to come by. Bringing a second limit to the scales, weighing in 2 pounds shy of her opening day 12-10 leading catch, she adds 10-5 giving her a total of 22-15 and maintains the lead going into the final day.
Steven Wells, Pams husband, hasn't had much to say, in true angler fashion he is tight-lipped about what she is doing and won't comment on her game plan. Steven said, "I better not say anything, don't want to put a jinx on her!" He did say that her pre-fish went very well and it looks like things have changed but she has been able to adapt with the fish she found a month ago.
Tied for second place are Sherry Glasco and Tammy Muice, who both brought limits to the scale in the opening round and followed up with limits on Day Two. Tied at 18-7 they are sure to force Pam-Martin Wells to stay on top of her game. At this point one good fish, the elusive Largemouth could shake up the leader board!
Diana Clark is holding the 4th spot with 17-15. Juanita Robinson, coming off her win on Lake Amistad is holding onto the fifth place spot with 15-16.
The Co-Angler side bounced back and forth but when all was said and done, Carrie Shiver brought in the only limit in two days of competition. After only catching one fish on the first day, she tipped the scales with a very impressive 11-7. Adding that to her 1-4 of yesterday, Shiver was Crowned Champion Co-Angler with a total of 12-11. She recieved a fully rigged Triton/Mercury combination.
