Making a big splash with their new arrival to Bossier City, H&W Marine is giving away the boat! Although new to Louisiana, H&W Marine is no stranger to Louisiana Sportsmen and Boaters. This Texas based chain of Boat Dealerships has a reputation that has crossed state lines. With its headquarters just over the state line in Marshall, Texas; H&W has been providing Louisianans with boats, jet skis, motorcycles and four-wheelers for decades.
“Customers from Louisiana have been coming to our store in Marshall for many years.” said Chris Knight, General Manager of H&W Marine. “We always knew we had a strong customer base in the state but after coming to Shreveport last year for the Bassmasters Classic; the outpouring for us to open a Louisiana location was so overwhelming, we knew we had to come.”
The H&W companies include H&W Marine and H&W Honda -Yamaha and are family owned and operated by East Texas’ natives, the Hughes Family. They have boat, motorcycle and ATV stores in 7 locations in the ARK-LA-TEX area including Tyler, Palestine, Marshall, Texarkana, Little Rock and now the new location of H&W Marine in Bossier City.
When asked about how their dealerships have seen such growth in what have been tough economic times for others in the industry; Chris Knight said “our business is based on the passion our customers have for fishing, hunting, boating, water sports and the outdoors. This passion, no matter what the economy, never fades. Our staff is comprised of good people who share these passions and are very dedicated to providing the very best products and services needed so our customers’ passions can be pursued. When you share a passion not only loyal customers do you make; but lifelong friendships.”
The new Bossier City location of H&W Marine is at 517 Benton Road which was the former Kia dealership. The new store will be managed by Shreveport native, Bucky Boone. Boone managed the former Travis Boating Center prior to its acquisition by Bass Pro Shops. He not only brings along a lifetime of experience in the boating industry but because of his previous ties he has been able to bring the very best from the area to staff the store.
H&W Marine is well known by local anglers for their long running title as the #1 Triton Dealer in the world and for now hosting the popular “TNT” Thursday Night Tournaments on Cross Lake. The TNT Championship will be held live at the new Bossier City H&W Marine later this year.
Long-time supporters of conservation groups like Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl, H&W Marine also touts the title of the largest mud boat dealer in the world. These guys are serious about their duck hunting and are excited to be in Louisiana where sportsmen are also serious about the sport.
If you are a water sports enthusiast, you will be excited to hear H&W Marine will soon be the new North Louisiana headquarters for the world famous Ski Nautiques.
