Saving Bait

This isn't really a tip, more of a kind gesture. I've been doing this for close to a a year and a half.

1. Get a bag/box/container.
2. Go fishing.
3. Put your damaged/dinged and "changed" baits (plastic) in the bag.
4. Give the bag to a kid you see fishing, a kid you know that fishes, or someone new to fishing.

My old boss's kids loved talking to me about fishing, always begged me for baits, and ears were always open for suggestions. I started doing this and still give them some baits every now and then. The best part is hearing their stories about fish they caught.
It also keeps your boat a little cleaner from random used baits thrown around.
