Was at Toledo Bend this weekend and got a few shots. Here are a few of the best ones.

Just a random shot idling to the boat road from ramp. A bunch of tires. The image quality was great.

Here is a winding creek channel with a few laydowns and stumps on the left side of the screen and grassy bank on the right side.

Another creek channel just down stream of the previous picture. Looks like two big ole stumps in the curve of the channel.

Great pics. I bought the HDS-5 and the LSSI but haven't mounted it. I also bought a troll motor mount bracket for the LSSI but cant decide whether to put it up front or mount it at the console. Do you remember how far the box can be from the LSSI transducer? I have a LMS 520CI in dash at the console but it will use the same Unit tranducer as the HDS-5. I was thinking of putting that one in the front and mounting the HDS in dash. I can use the transducer for the HDS on the troll motor hooked up to the LMS520. The reason I'm saying all this is that right now my LMS 520 has a shoot thru hull transducer. The HD5 came with a puck that will work with the LMS 520. So I was going to rig the HD5 to the shoot thru and mount the LSSI on the transom step putting the Hd5 in dash. and moving the LMS up front. Appreciate any input that would make the system good to go

Teamhook, as for mounting of the LSS ducer just remember that you get a good clear quality screen picture when your on a steady move, like idling around. I think the down scan will work better than the side scan on the TM. When your not moving it "stretches" the picture out. You may just have to test it out on the TM to see if that's where you want it. I have mine on the transom and use it when idling around. As for the distance from the box how ever long of a cable you have. I think it has a 20' long cable and you can buy a 10' extension cable if needed. Most people including myself have mounted the box in the rod box infront of the console.
