Gone Fishing Photo Contest Rules

Ultimate Bass's photo contest

     Everyone loves to see photos of the fish that we all catch, kids out fishing and a bass boat skimming across the water. So the staff here at UltimateBass.com thought it would be great to show them off by doing a photo contest. Like in past years it is time for an UltimateBass.com fishing photo contest. Unlike other years this contest is open to members, visitors, and even your friend down the road. So look around and see if you got one or two photos that others might like to see and while you're showing off the ones you have, please think about joining us in the fishing forum to see what others have said about bass fishing and the photos in this year's contest.

The Guide lines for this contest are simple

Your photos must be sent in between April 1st through May 31, 2009 and taken this year!

The photo that you submit must fall in these guide lines:
     •  Must be no more than 400 x 400 pixels in width or height
     • Taken in 2009 and not entered in another UB contest
Must be one that you personally or immediate family member has taken
     •  The photo must be of you or taken by you or a family member
     •  The photo must not be altered in any way or it will be removed from contest
     •  The photo must be fishing related
     •  All photos must be received by midnight May 31
     •  Your photo can not be in your gallery until after the contest is over

All entries must be sent to with the following information:     
     • Clearly labeled as PHOTO CONTEST ENTRY in the subject line of the email
     • Your Full Name and mailing address, so we know where to send the prizes.
     • Your screen name here on the forum if you have one
     • Date that the picture was taken if know or as close as possible
     • The location of the photo: lake, state, etc.
     • Short description of your photo

     The judging will be done by the Senior staff of ultimate bass and for the record they will not be entering photos in the contest. The photos will be judged by two factors, 1) how good the photo is in quality, 2) how well it stays to the theme of the contest

     The winner will receive a unique banner for their signature here on UltimateBass.com, this will signify that they had the best photo in the "UltimateBass.com Gone Fishing" Photo Contest, along with some real nice prizes, to include a Shimano Citica 200DV, from some of our sponsors of the site, like:

All photos entered in the contest will be displayed for viewing on UltimateBass.com.

     The winning photo will be placed on the main page of UltimateBass.com with a short article on the photo and the photographer. It should be show cased as the lead article some where in the first week of May. The winner will be announced on June 1 2009 in our forum for the ones who want to know first.

Helpfully Hint: I have gotten in photos that are way over size to post, if you need to resize them go to snapfiles and down load photofiltre. It is easy to use and best of all it is free!
