2009 Bassmaster Classic (PICK UM) Rules

For anyone wanting to what the prizes are they are post under the rules in the rules thread

Lets make this a fantasy type thread. Pick 3 anglers you feel will do good. You will get the same number of points as their finishing place. Ex- Joe comes in 3rd, Tom comes in 40th and Betty comes in 10th. Thats 53pts. LOWEST TOTAL SCORE WINS. There will be a tie breaker if needed for the person guessing closest the total weight of the winner to the nearest pound.  You can change your picks until the day before the start of the tourney. I'll see if the moderators of Dock Talk will lock the thread on that day.

My picks:

Kelly Jordan
Greg Hackney
Mike Iaconelli

KVD
Gary Klein

54.9lbs

Now that is a sharp pick  ~c~ A local to the red river, a spinner bait king and a jig king. Come spring time the two baits that will probably win it.

Fishing is more than just a hobby

Dobyns Rods - Monster Fishing Tackle
Cork's Reel Service

Blake R.

Greg Hackney- Local, knows the Red, and I don't think in a place like this the home lake 'curse' will be a factor.
KVD- no need to explain this one.
Terry Scroggins- Knows how to catch big fish, and if flippin' is a factor the field is in trouble. He is also a great sight fisherman.

Winning weight-54

My bait is bigger than your bass!

I have no doubt they will all be in the top 10. Be watching for Gary Klein to give us a good show. He is way past due and I think this river is right up his alley. Greg hackney is a local and he does well on these types of bodies of water. And like stated before KVD is always a threat.

I can't believe more people are not picking Ike with his record on LA waters he is very close to the top  in my book.  Have to pick KVD just because of his spinnerbait powers.

The Red is a different animal. Cold weather, rain and high waters could mean a big stringer here. You just never know on the Red. Everybody likes Hackney here. HeHeHe. I don't know about that. I am kicking myself for not picking the old man in this one. He likes the Red and does quite well here. Yes, I'm speaking of the Classic King. Clunn. If I had a fourth pic, it would definatly be him. Actually, I'm pulling for him anyway. Very nice guy.

Yup I picked Clunn, he seemed an obvious choice to me.  Now remember by your own rules you can change up before the classic (As I understood them anyway)
