2021 Ultimate Bass Adapt A Family Raffle

THIS IS THE BIG ONE- several rods and great tackle to be had.

It's time to kick off the Annual Ultimate Bass Adopt A Family Raffle. This is not the mini's we've been running all year, this one has the great prizes in it!!!

A quick synopsis for those that weren't part of Ultimate Bass last year. Ultimate Bass holds a raffle to raise money for a family in need each year at Christmas. Our tenth annual means so far, we've helped 9 families over the past 9 Holiday Seasons. These families typically had extreme medical bills preventing a joy filled holiday season. However, a couple of our recipients simply were families who had fallen on very hard times.

Last year's recipient was a family who's mother/wife had ocular cancer which spread severely. She was receiving treatments three states away. The drive back and forth was financially impossible on top of all the medical bills. There is much more to their story, here's a link to the video of when we presented the funds

A couple years ago we were able to help the grandchildren of Lipripper. They were trying to raise his Great Grandchildren in the heart of Chicago and were in a bad way. With winter on top of them, they were fighting to keep their jobs, Mom and Dad were taking turns toting the kids back and forth to day care on a bike with a wagon just to keep working... Our first Adopted Family this year is in a very tough place. The family has a premature baby in the hospital, the drive is over 50 miles one way, making the round trip very expensive. They also have three other children. To top off their struggles, mom lost her job because of all the troubles with her pregnancy. Their church is helping some but Ultimate Bass can make their holidays something the kids won't remember as a solemn time for the family, but rather celebrate the recovery of their new family member. Ultimate Bass can make sure they all get to spend the holiday together without worrying about things like the high price of gas, and food staples. Here is their full story Meet Our Adopted Family

Our second family also has a young baby, while birth went great, he choked in his sleep and was out of oxygen for an undetermined amount of time. Baby Cole wasn't expected to live but he's proved everyone wrong. He's going to have some serious challenges in the near and long term. His mom and dad are doing all they can but Baby Cole is a 5 hour drive away and needs specialist that are 8 hours away. His sisters just want him home for the holidays... Tickets are your basic Raffle Ticket. Ticket cost:

1 ticket for $5
5 tickets for $20
30 tickets for $100

I will be tracking ticket purchases like always. Many times we are not able to spend $100 at a time to get the bonus tickets. If you buy $100 worth of tickets over a series of purchases I will give you the extra tickets to equal thirty with the purchase that takes you over $100. So if you buy 5 sets of $20 that gets you 25 tickets and I will kick in the extra five tickets to make the 30.

We take all forms of money but prefer Pay Pal or Venmo. Make sure to send funds via "Friends and Family". You can mail a check (please let me know it's coming), did I say we prefer Pay Pal, and if you want to use a CC we can send you a Pay Pal invoice that you can pay without having a Pay Pal account. See the bottom of the post for further information.

I will message you the numbers of your tickets. You'll need to hang onto these numbers. On December 16th we will draw the winners and post the ticket numbers. We will do the drawing on Facebook Live to ensure the integrity of the raffle. (You do not have to have Facebook in order to win, winning numbers will be published on the Ultimate Bass forums) I will also write your screen name on the back of your tickets so we'll know who won what on drawing night.

The funds recipient - as mentioned we have a family in works, we are still vetting their needs through their local church. We are still accepting applications if you know a family that might need help this holiday season.

Our only option here is to send you an invoice via Pay Pal, you do not have to have a Pay Pal account to pay the invoice. However, there is a 3% surcharge and since this is a fund raiser, I'll split it with you.

The money we spend on the coffee, soda, bag of chips, we might grab at the convince store before fishing or on the way to work it can go along way to putting presents under the tree for our family, or gas in their tank so they can take all the kids to the hospital to visit their sibling.

REMEMBER, the twenty bux we spend each week on snacks, soda, and coffee in the convince stores can make a huge difference in our Adopt A Family's life! Twenty dollars buys a lot of food for the table. For $40 I can make a mean pot of gumbo that will feed a family for a week!!! When you don't have anything, the smallest amount of money goes a long way. It's the time of year for giving, please did deep and let's help our family out.

For those new to the program, I promise every penny donated goes to our Adopted Family, we keep nothing, in fact my PayPal account seems to bleed dry of my fishing funds too  But that's okay it's a great cause and I know the money is always used to help. The last few years we've used the local churches to help us vet the families.

Every little bit we can give, goes a LONG way for our Adopt A Family.
