Starting to get the itch to head back to Vero Trophy Bass Lakes.  Currently they are not open and I really don't know when they plan to start fishing this coming year but....If they do, I really want to go there again most likely in the Spring.  Going to Vero you can't call it a fishing trip you have to call it a catching trip because that is what it is.  The best thing about Vero is the private nature of the place and you don't have to worry about the dreaded skunk that some trips can produce.  I really loved each morning sitting on the porch watching the world wake up for the day.  When it is time to hit the lake it is a short few minutes getting there and you don't have to leave the property to do it.  Truly a relaxing time even though you might get a little tired because you are catching a lot of fish.  You gotta love a bass catching trip when most caught fish are between 3.5 and 5.5 pounds and a few bigger fish thrown in for good measure.  Last year the bite was topwater and chatterbaits.  I imagine that just about any lure choice will work there.  If the trip happens I will once again be looking for a partner to go along and share the costs.  Let me know if you may be interested.
