Another morning therapy for me.  ;)
I happened to land this awesome Thursday off. So like any God fearing human I loaded the boat and headed to the lake at 6am. I planned to fish for about 4 hrs. And with this plan I have noticed the bite has slowed some the last two trips. I was planning to try some different stuff. But like all good well thought out plans I ditched them before I unloaded the boat.  lo That fog on the water just gets me excited.  ;D
I just cant help myself when I see those pads I have to get a frog or a toad especially when its 65 degrees and you hear the tale tale signs of some feeding in the area.
When you see some really good bass hideout you have to pitch a jig in there. Its only natural right???  >:D Anyway I tried the X Zone Pro Series 4" Muscle Back Craw in Black Blue Lam color for my trailer. This is the first time trying them as a trailer on my jig. Being the 4" version I was hoping I might get a bigger fish to hit it. Guess I wasn't where the big girls were because I was catching plenty just not the biguns. The craws did a great job holding up where I was pitching them will usually rip off claws if the bait is too soft. These had a good soft feel yet tough enough they stayed on my jig. I recommend these as a great plastic for a trailer.
Another one caught pitching a jig. First one with the X Zone Pro Series 4" Muscle Back Craw:)

And another on the jig...
When you see some more pads that look relevant you see if they are interested in a toad again.
The bite was getting a little slow so I tossed me some good old 10" Culprit worm and landed a few.
Alright time to go. Was getting warm and the kid said it was time to eat.
