As long as you and Stacy are attending, it's all good.

Late?? That is unacceptable! lol

You arriving Friday or Saturday?

Man if you would have had your Kayak it would have been cool to watch you Kayak around a 1 mile radius of Grape Hammock. Or tied you to the back of one of the boats to get you around lol.  ~roflmao

 PoPo  ATTENTION!! PoPo

Listen up guys, time is of the essence.

We do not have many options for accommodations on Grape Hammock for the weekend of Oct 7th& 8th.  Gator hunting will be in full swing and they are filling up fast.

As of right now the only Cabins available are: 1, 5, 6, 7  and Trailer 11

Now... the advantage here is that these cabins and trailer sleep multiple people.

Below is the link for Grape Hammock. Highlight the link and go to it.

http://www.grapehammock.com/index.html

On the Grape Hammock home site you will find all the answers you will need to know as far as costs for the cabin and the trailer.

Our point of contact is Heather. Say you are with Ultimate Bass Club and she will know who we are.

If this is not convenient to the group, we will need to reevaluate the location. I urge you not to sit on this if you all want to fish on the dates and location we chose. The following weekend Oct 14-15 at GH is  booked solid.

Just reserved Cabin #5.

1, 6, 7, 11 and 26 still available. I'll be arriving on Thursday afternoon to pre-fish on Friday. Still intend to provide Frogmore Stew for dinner on Friday evening as folks arrive.

Great to hear Barry. Remember I'm allergic to shellfish. :)

Shrimp goes in last so I'll pull you some sausage, potatoes and corn before.

Lou I'm hesitant to book yet. Reason being the new job is building Halloween Stores and the 1st week of October is sure to be a busy one. Hate to book one and then not be able to get there Friday night and take it away from someone that could be.

Most have Muti Beds, so for now I'll wait and see, maybe split costs with someone that has a bed open. Maybe talk with the SIL and see what he thinks)he will be the Boss on the jobs).

Worse case I'll drive down and sleep in the back of the SUV.

Ok Fred, hopefully you can work something out. I just want everyone to be aware of whats going on, and get reservations earlier than later.

Lou, remind us newbies on the general format of the classic. How many days is it usually?

Classic format is as follows:
Fri if you arrive early enough is an optional pre-fish. For the participants who are there we have a group dinner (compliments of Barry)
Saturday is the first day of the classic.
Usually we start from safe light and compete til 2pm or 3pm. Rest up and have a group dinner in the evening (compliments of FishinDaddy).
Sunday, Day 2. That morning, we pack up our vehicles for check out, launch at safe light til 2pm. From 2pm to 2:45 closing ceremonies. 3pm see you all the next year and hit the road.

West6550

With a steak, banana pudding, and a beer or three in there somewhere lol

Thanks for the heads up Lou.

My buddy lives just over the fence. I will either stay with them or get a campsite nearby and pull the RV down. I might bring the kayak if there arent any back seats lol

I'm in # 11

I see a few of you have taken care of your accommodations at Grape Hammock already. Awesome!! For the rest who are going or considering on going to the Classic, I cannot emphasize enough to make your arrangements early. I don't want anyone who really wants to attend, to miss out.

Capt. BassinLou

Ok guys, we are one month closer for our Classic..  ~c~ ~c~

Please...please.... do not procrastinate on your accommodations. Its better to reserve now and if it doesn't work out cancel the week before. You will not be penalized $$.

BarryFL

Correct. No deposit required when I reserved my cabin.

I'm in Cabin 7. Plan to bring my SIL along to fish, he won't be in our competition just fishing with me.

They still have 2 cabins left. #1 and #19.

Good deal Fred, thanks for the update.

You know if we were smart we would book Number 1 and everyone stay there, it holds up to 10 I believe. Split the cost among everyone and it would be cheap.

Something to think about for another time.

Cabin #1 is our largest cabin and is great for family get-togethers and larger groups,
4 bedrooms with 10 single beds
2 full bathrooms
Nice open kitchen with extra long dining room table perfect for entertaining
Living room with leather sectional for hanging out and swapping stories
Central air conditioning
Non-smoking cabin

Rates
Nightly $165 for 6 people (extra people $5 per person per night)

6 people would run about $27.50 per night per person.

Hi gang, I need your help. If you are going to the Classic or plan on going to the Classic, please let me know on this thread. I want us to see who is a boater and non-boater. I will appreciate that. Thank you!!
