Since deals haven't been reached yet to garage my boat over the winter, I looked for a new alternative to my old wooden "T" supports which I made from vertical 2x4s and thin plywood.

I came up with these supports made from 3/4" 200psi PVC pipe and "T" fittings . I think I may go back for some additional "T" couplers for a center supports but three 10' sections of 3/4" PVC and eight "T"s were about $9 at Lowes. This should help with the heavy snow.

If I can stop buying guns and tackle for about a year, I could afford to build a garage of my own for the boat.  lo -Jim

That's a great idea and with PVC the options are pretty much limitless as to what all you can do with it. I am gonna have to do this for mine also. Thanks for the tip !
Stop by the Garage and let me know if you have Maintenance issues that you need assistance with.

That is a really good idea!!!
My boat sits outside all year long with a cover. The cover is great, but my boat is a single console, so when it rains I get a small pond on the passenger side of the cover, lol.
I will have to try your idea in my boat!

Definitely a great idea I've been trying to come up with for years for my old bass boat!!
It's definite - once the snow melts off the existing cover which is sagging and pooled with so much ice melt, I'll install the T supports and an end-to-end support at the arches. For a 12' boat, I would think two will do.

Thanks ~c~
