for those looking for a simple tool/drink holder:

I have been looking for a tool/drink holder for the front deck and have not found one I liked or was worth a damn. I went to my local Tractor Supply and found 4 car cup holders for $2.99. I cut the end off one and strapped it to my front seat post with a zip tie. I also strapped my plier holders the same way. Now I don't need to look for the pliers or for  a place to set my drink while up front and I won't knock my drink over anymore.  Here is a pic. It was cheap, easy to make and is very convenient

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work!

That works, great way to get what you need and not spend a pile of money   ~c~

One more tip, Trim the ends of the zip ties as close as you can.  Those things will slice you up if you bump your hand aginst one.  Jim

Yes they will!

This is a good idea. Might have to borrow it! For my drinks!

I use those same types of cup holders only after removing the hook portion, I put a single screw through the bottom into the carpet near the front depth finder.   ;PEP)

After you snip em close,  put a lighter to it and that will round off the sharp edges.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Ahh, you meant "cheap" i.e. low cost drink holder!  I thought you meant a "cheap drink" holder.  I don't cotton to cheap drinks.... ~roflmao

I like it as I'm "cheap" by nature.
Enjoying retirement in the great Pacific Northwest.  I've turned into a fair weather angler.  Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?

Looks like a great idea. I will be adding that to my boat this yr. Thanks
