December Photo Contest

Theme for this month’s photo contest is:
          Winter around the world!

The time frame for the photos:
          December 1, 2005 till midnight December 31 2005
 
Photo content must contain at least one or more of the following items:
          Water, fishing related gear, or a winter scene.

The photo that you submit:
     •  Must be one that you personally or immediate family member has taken
     •  Does not have to be taken within the time frame of the photo contest
     •  Must be no more than 400 x 400 pixels in width or height
     •  The photo must not be altered in any way
     •  All photos must be received by midnight December 31 2005
     •  A winner will  be selected on January 1st
 
All entries must be sent to me at kal.kevin@ultimatebass.com with the following:
     •  Clearly labeled as PHOTO CONTEST ENTRY
     •  Your Full Name
     •  Complete Address
     •  Member Name here on the forum
     •  Date that the picture was taken
     •  The location of the photo: lake, state, etc.
     •  Short description of the photo

The prize:
The winner will receive a unique banner for their signature signifying that they had the best photo in the December Photo Contest

As a add on note we are looking for photos that relate to our love of fishing and the great outdoors. So please try to include in you photo thing like a lake, a pond, a river, fishing gear, your boat that kind of things. we know that not everyone lives in the snow but make sure your photo shows the way your area is this time of year. we have had only seven pictures add as of today and we need you to send them in as soon as you can.  here is a quick reminder:

Millers Ferry, AL

I cought this fish under a small bridge with a junebug/chart lizard. She
Weighed roughly 4.5-5(didnt have a scale) but it was round 100degrees
outside that day its the only fish we caught that particular day.

at Stone Arch Lake, Atterbury FWA in Edinburgh, Indiana.
 
Alan and I were on our Spring Turkey Season outing and the fishing had been up and down.  We started on 4-28 and fished every day until 5-1.  I had been having success throwing Sqworm Stix and had nailed a 5lb+ largemouth at Huntingburg Reservoir a couple days before this.  But the weather turned cold, windy and rainy.  We toughed it out and I managed to pick this nice largemouth up on my last Sqworm Stix in Candy that I had left.

I took this photo in the late eighties. 

I was in a bass boat along a canal that ran along the runway of the Opa Loca
airport(notice the lily-pads).  As you can see this is an f-18 Blue Angel. If you look close enough.....you can see the pilot.  This pic was snapped while the jet was just under supersonic speed.  I moved the camara to the right and clicked the pic without looking through the view finder.  It had to be the luckiest shot of my life.

Date:  January 2002

Location:  My backyard overlooking Lake Lizzie in St Cloud FL

 This was the scene as I awoke on the coldest day of 2002 for us.  There is
a light layer of frost on the ground and the steam coming off of the lake
made it look a little more "northern".  It was just a little chilly for us
 Florida boys that day.  Gave it the illusion of "what will the day bring?"
 especially with the jon boat tied to the end of the dock, looking like it
is ready to roll out into the mist.

Where - Shenandoah National Park

Description - While we were on vacation in Virginia we took a hike in
Shenadoah National Park and on this trail we stopped to take in the
beauty of the falls.  I asked me oldest daughter to take a pic of me
admiring the falls.

Thanks silver I took that one on our last steelhead trip to the St Joe river with joda and Walt and papa_d. The camrea didn't want to work to good so I missed the one of th eguy wadding and flyfishing off to the right of that one.
